I though the Nexus 4, 7 and 10 all based on the screen size. How can they skip no 4 if the screen is 4++". Furthermore, the naming was given by Google itself. Not sure why you guys debating about the device naming rather than the price and the quality.

USB OTG allows your phone switch from device to host mode, or vice versa. Therefore your phone is able to receive/send data if any USB device like pendrive or HDD is plugged in

Then no more concern about N4 limited storage I guess. rclxms.gif

Perhaps his 10k extra charging times is a misleading figure, nevertheless, his argument is correct where frequent charging of battery improve the life cycle of battery.

Nope. You can never improve your battery charging life cycle no matter how many times or when you charge it. You can only slow down the the degradation rate. It will degrade by small percentage every time. No matter it Li-Ion or Li-Po, then only difference is the degradation rate. Even the Manufacturer already mention you can charge up to 800 times. Usually this is MTBF which is the very minimum times you can charge it b4 it fails.

But even at this stage or even around ~400 charge, the battery may only holding up 75-85% of original capacity or even lesser.

Btw, talking about battery is never OT. It's a healthy discussion/arguments. Keep em coming. icon_rolleyes.gif

i see that the front facing camera is only 1.3mp which is probably not 1080/720p @ 30 fps. So does it affect much on video calling?...as in the person on the other side look at you like a robot talking to them.
*
1.3 is probably 1440x900 which already exceeds 720p. Still remember lots of phones using VGA cam as front facing cam. laugh.gif

Edit : typo

i see,.

I ask because some of the reviews are like, 2 weeks earlier than the release date,

and its not possible that they bought it normally right?

thanks ya'll

Some reputable reviewer like Anand get it directly from the manufacturer. For example like new graphic card, processor or SSD. They will get it I or 2 weeks earlier for the to do through review about the product. They also required to sign NDA with the other party for not disclose any information about it before a certain date. Usually will be the launch date. That's why immediately after launch, you can see all the review is published.

Oh, so now you are comparing between reviewers and newspapers in terms of generating money? Lmao. Those are two different things. Newspaper are solely dependent on advertisements and sponsors. Online reviewers may be bias towards certain preference of brands but do you have any proof that they are being paid by the manufacturers themselves to review their products? Justify your claim. What I am trying to imply is that, not every reviewers are being paid to reviews products. You understand the meaning of, NOT EVERY?

From what I know, most of they were given the devices before the public, to provide an in-depth review of the product which allows customers to be aware of it's pro's and cons before they make up their mind as the repertoire of smartphones are pretty big. Individual blogs are another issue. Why are you comparing between a website who generates an average of 1000 views a day against one that has only 100 (popular bloggers) on average per day? A little common sense please.

Couldn't agree more bro. Comparing a famous tech sites with some blogs? doh.gif

I warn you. Once into android, if you're more enthusiast type, there's no road for you to return to iOS. I started with Android then I find iOS so boring  blush.gif
Give me iPad to play I don't know what to buy besides those games.
For those who like simple and straight approach, go for Apple. They limit how you use your phone. Android let you customize most thing to your preference.

I also hope that thermal throttling will not affect our normal day to day usage. I dun think we are going to always stress the phone by benchmarking it. Anyway, I do hope someone will find a way to disable that thermal throttling.

if the wireless charging required the phone contact with the pad then i don't see it as a practical accessories, at least u still can maneuver the phone around with cable.
*
Yup, I guess still need times for wireless charge. Like the cable charger, it evolved from charger dock station. Maybe in the near future, our phone will charge automatically without placing it at charging pads

plastic isn't necessary a bad thing, HOX dual shot plastic molding with softer material at exterior is nice.

Agreed. All comes down to the quality of the material used. Even a low quality glass will be sucks compared to a higher quality plastics.
