I think you guys forget this is a PHONE! not TABLET which can't make calls. Anything that can make calls/has gsm tax will be different if you bring in to malaysia. Also, you need to get SIRIM approval from customs. I guess roughly 1.5k to bring in here without shipping cost.

If you already have an android phone , you will surely go for Nexus aka Google Phone next time. Because you will always be the one that receive update immediately.

Impossible RM1500 for a Quad-Core + 2GB RAM phone in malaysia for now. Other brand that has lower spec will surely death. There is always market control in pricing to protect local and oversea brand. Please don't compare with Apple product cause only apple it self is making the "i" product. Android is different from Apple. Android give its software to other BRAND to make self update and the price of cause is up to them control + shipping and market pricing cost. So there will be different for you to buy from Google and LG.
