Li-Po is better than Li-ion. Cost more than Li-ion as well as lighter for the same capacity as Li-ion counterpart.

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Nov 2 2012, 09:21 PM) I'm using Galaxy Nexus which I must say the SAmoled HD (it's the first SA HD anyway) on this is not good enough and the pixel is still noticeable (due to pentile thingy). It should be fixed in GNote 2 SAmoled with the new sub pixel config. That display banding was fixed in S3. |

QUOTE(Human10 @ Nov 2 2012, 11:54 PM) Not, at least not fully, you can still notice the crosshatch with closer inspection(no need to be too close). More significant especially on white pixels. How old was the display that you inspected? Without screen protector? On Note2(due to the full RGB matrix), I can't deny that it is really being solved, can't even notice any crosshatch even inspect close up. I will check my colleague's one and get back to you. |

QUOTE(yenama @ Nov 6 2012, 06:00 PM) Ahhh... back to the time when GNex just started its thread.52 pages is nothing compared to XeactorZ spending few versions saying that he would buy the phone (about 10 versions?) and ended up not buying it. Now GNex is V19 already, go figure. lol |

Seems like Camera 4.2 is rotating the whole interface when you change your orientation instead of just the icons on the screen. Hopefully they'll fix this in 4.2.1 soon, else it's really annoying.

This phone has both GPS and GLONASS. I wonder if it would helps a lot in locking time as well as accuracy. GNex's GPS left much to be desired when compared to iPhone4/4S. Accuracy wise can be seen when using Google My Track, flying all over the place and constant GPS signal lost when there's rain (due to clouds, maybe?).
Aside from that, it's using BT4.0. I guess the NFC object transfer will finally utilise Wifi transfer (if it's not Wifi Direct protocol like that on S3's)? Another concern on the phone would be the soft rubbery finish along the edge of the phone. If it is what I think it is, we might have issue with the rubber being "melted" over time. Similar problem can be found on Microsoft mouse. It was really nice when it's new, but in 1 - 2 year of use, it will start to melt, get sticky and reveal the plastic underneath. Hopefully I am wrong about it. This post has been edited by Harddisk: Nov 9 2012, 02:19 AM |

Besides, you don't have to explain to your peers when they can't see any branding imprinted on the front of the phone, while with Note2, they'll just know.I read this and the only things that I pick up is: 1. you can install forbiddened apps 2. you are now a superuser that can do what stock android set as safety limitation 3. redesign the theme? source: http://www.redmondpie.com/why-should-i-roo...hone-or-tablet/ Added on November 10, 2012, 12:12 am QUOTE(stormlcc @ Nov 9 2012, 03:43 PM) actually i'm very biased. i hate touchpiss a lot as u can see in my post. but if the note 2 coupled with a vanilla rom, it'll be quite good. and don't forget, after 2 years, samsung will forget their flagship phone, u will never get major updates after that. Nexus will still keep getting it until the spec is too low to keep up with the updates, that time if u r still using it, custom roms will still be in development Can't take full advantage of the S Pen's features. This post has been edited by Harddisk: Nov 10 2012, 12:12 AM |

QUOTE(ruffstuff @ Nov 14 2012, 11:25 AM) Anandtech knows what they doing. They know the early benchmark wasn't right. It was quite underwhelming performance for Nexus 4. But are you gonna use your phone in a ziplock bag placed inside a freezer???Now, they figure out whats wrong. Nexus 4 is officially the fastest android phone in the market!! But in real world, you are not getting the best of the quad core still, unfortunately. |

Considering to spend some money on small 5000mAh +-battery pack. Those 11200 or 13000 mAh totally overkill since it weights too much to be portable. Look for those powerbank that uses LiPo instead of LiIon.This post has been edited by Harddisk: Nov 16 2012, 01:00 AM |

Have it ever occur to you that, once the source for Nexus4 has been released, there will be significant boost on the performance (at least benchmark wise)?
