Good point there. LOL. I don't even know if LG retail outlets exist or not. But they have authorized resellers, like kiosk in Digital Mall etc

If they charge that much, people would rather order from US and pay the extra charges, still cheaper than that premium price. It needs to justify its value, Apple and Samsung can because they have the market and they know their phones can still sell regardless of the price tag.

Then have to wait for Maxis or Digi to bring in.
Coupled with RM200 rebate I think should be less than RM 1,000 on 24 months contract.  tongue.gif
*
Meh. You can wait that long ke? RM200 rebate only distribute next year, N4 should be released by December (Christmas), according to LG Malaysia. Hehe

yea, the penalties will sure hurt since im tied for 2 years..
yea, chose 2 years at 1st because paid much lower for the device when it 1st launch. tongue.gif
agreed, its great hardware. what attracts me is the price ( the google play store price ) and the s4 processor.  drool.gif anyway, i'll take your advice. will flash custom ROM soon biggrin.gif

Sell your S3 in Garage Sales and buy N4 without contract. Both using microsim ma, can just transfer smile.gif I signed a BB plan with UMobile for 2 years, used it for 3 months then cancelled BIS and bought iPhone. Just cut the SIM card then we're good to go.

Yeah. Consider it before. smile.gif  planning to do the same also?  Lol

Most probably but if the N4 cost below 1500RM, might keep my iPhone. Then I will have best of both worlds. Lol

It's based on one's opinion. Don't jump into conclusions just yet. Heck, it's not even released in the US also.

Ps: messy quotings above. Pening

Stupid LG with its unremovable battery.

So what? iPhones don't even have removable batteries since the first model too. I don't see it as an issue here. Check the type of battery before you start bashing.

Stupid lG will sell this phone rm 2k++

according rumor at EU double prices
*
Will?

LG Malaysia themselves have not even give out an official statement regarding the price of the Nexus 4, what makes you so sure that it WILL?

EU pricing may not be applicable for every country, mind you.

For such a specs,I can still say 2k is cheap,1,5k very cheap already lor, some people still complaining bout price, please tell me where can you get such a good specs within 1,5k?
*
Probably they expect LG to sell it at the direct conversion of Google Play's price. Either that or, they are just plain cheapskates who can afford to pay 2.2k for S3 when it first came out and not the same amount for the phone which may be better than the S3.

Kiasulogic.

why US and selected countries can get same price , why we need to pay 20-50% higher ? Price discrimination ? and why iPhone can sell at same price in msia ?

mind u , Dont compare S3 with Nexus 4... Samsung n LG ... LG is in losing side .. even thru higher spec.... we are looking at everything , not only spec.... customer service ,warranty support , firmware update etc....

we are not convince by the brand itself .... enuf said....

Added on November 6, 2012, 5:48 pm

juz like Honda and Kia ... ppl still not convince by KIA eventhru they have all high tech stuff in the car ... same concept .... smile.gif

Samsung S3 ler... its so popular with 30millions sales ... how is LG ? Poor sales figures
*
So does that mean that LG has to sell it at a cheaper price because its not doing well in terms of sales figures? Mind you, this is a Nexus phone. All the updates will be handled by Google, not LG. What updates are you talking about? A Nexus phone should not be labelled as an individual brand phone. Yes LG manufactured it but Google was the one behind all the hardware and specs that are placed to the phone.

Good example, Nexus 7. Manufactured by Asus, they don have a good name here as compared to other brands, and pricing still on the high side.

And mind you, KIA now has one of the highest sales volume, just look at the Forte. smile.gif

Ah, whatever the price is, there will still be buyers alright? Count me in, looking forward to it. No need to argue here and there.

Gesture typing looks cool, does it improve on the word prediction when you use it more often? Like able to predict your next word properly?

with the price hanging around rm 1.3k, looks like this phone will have the best value for money, might get one at the release date biggrin.gif

with such specs there is nothing to complain about really.... no doubt the selling price is the deal breaker for most ppl here, myself included
*
Pray hard it will laugh.gif Actually I don't mind the pricing really, just pretty excited to get my hands on my very first 'Pure' Android phone icon_rolleyes.gif

Been hearing bad reviews on the phone's battery life which is surprising.

How bad is bad? Can it last a day of normal usage? If yes then it's not a problem.

usage is very much individual dependent
benchmark indicating N4 get 4.2 hr web browsing over 3G, while S3 got 5.
*
I don't think an average person will browse 4 hours of Internet a day. I believe 1 hour at least, should be sufficient. With 3G on. I usually turn off my 3G and let it run on 2G when I'm not surfing. The battery life should be quite similar to my iPhone at the moment.

i booked one from this seller.
expect to get it by next week before 20th.
the only problem is warranty.
but with the price rm1350, just cant resist & its worth above everything!  nod.gif
*
Woah. Was contemplating on getting it from him too, but I don't know what is the expected market value here in Malaysia. But if LG Malaysia decides to hike up the price to over 2k, will ask a friend from the States to get it for me instead.

Ah, this review seems fair. Apparently the camera was better than I expected. Fragile back? No problem, a casing will do the trick, or even a 3M sticker.
