Ahhh... back to the time when GNex just started its thread.

52 pages is nothing compared to XeactorZ spending few versions saying that he would buy the phone (about 10 versions?) and ended up not buying it. Now GNex is V19 already, go figure. lol

Added on November 6, 2012, 11:56 pmBtw what do u guys expect.  Phone is not out yet so talk bout pricing la

QUOTE(DJFoo000 @ Nov 7 2012, 09:36 AM)
Wait. I didn't follow the thread closely. He ended up not buying the GNex? LOL. NATO la tuuuu. Legend status already.
*
QUOTE(Harddisk @ Nov 7 2012, 10:41 AM)
Initially it was about the pricing. But when the phone dropped till RM1.5k, he never bought it. I think he ended up with an S3 instead.

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Nov 7 2012, 10:56 AM)
Same thing/story nearly repeated again on S3 though in the end he did buy the phone  lolz

Im thinking of swapping my current nexus to nexus4 D: . Seriously tempting. 8mp camera. And since the screen is not using super emoled hd i suppose the battery life will survive much longer than the current one?

But problem is, when it comes to servicing, i heard LG products servicing can be troublesome. Is that true?

Would be glad to be enlightened

hmm.gif well i should try reading more about it. yeap i've a gnex, somehow i heard that super amoled screen is the thing that is killing the battery the most so i thought maybe with LG's technology it would've been better. furthermore, im a hardcore web surfer, in terms of on screen time i suppose LG's will still last longer?

agree, but u can tune the colour multiplier or choose reverse black/white for websites (sometimes i do that brows.gif )
i mean 4 hrs avrg screen on an an amoled with mostly viewing websites is still not too shabby.

If not optimising anything, IPS screen will be better. But if u tricked the amoled, it will last longer than ever.

ahh that's where the custom roms come in lol. somehow i still prefer sticking with the stock rom, personal preference. sadly there's still no news of jb4.2 tweaking the battery life of the device.

u mention u have root rite?
take that to ur advantage.
-freeze apps
-modify the colour levels (more red less blue)
-tweak the kernal
-control apps that run in backgrounds
-check ur deep sleep patterns
-evaluate ur usage
-ULV/UV
-lower vibrations power
-bigger battery
-learn how to conserve ur battery wear levels
-and many more (drop by gnexus threadlar.. dun ask at n4 thread.. whistling.gif )

just don't change ur stock kernal, system files, and flash CWM/TWRP on board,
reading that u still wants OTA to happen.
afterall ur device is unlocked ardy so push it beyond the limits.

I won't be surprised.  My nexus 7 is not a marathoner either.  Nothing beats that darn iPad in terms of battery life optimization

Funny, my Nexus 7 seems to outlast the gf's iPad2. Then again, she got hers around 7 months before I got the Nexus 7 and it's obviously gone thorugh many more cycles, so that may be the reason. But I do agree with regards to the overall power and performance efficiency of iOS devices. That's what you get with vertical integration, where the company controls both hardware and software.
