I sandpapered the car using 600 grit then went onto 800 grid. Removed the hood and trunk pins.. gonna custom one

I sprayed the car with white primer. Below are the pics.

Updates:

After applying Tamiya White Putty... it dries so fast that I barely have enough time to even it out. This is to cover up the funny line as u can see in the previous post.



And also the side fender part..



Front lip which is connected to the fender had some gap.. probably cz this is an old Tamiya model.



What a bummer. i need to wait for someone to reply b4 i can add more pics

Done... now im thinking whether i should wet sand with 2000 grit paper or straight away spray white.

wet sand first will be a good idea
eliminate the roughness of the primer

pergh.... this is true perfectionist.... with sanding n putty usage... hope everything turns out great...

You can get 1200 or even 1500 sand paper in Ace Hardware, few ringgit per sheet. I used 1000 tamiya but can still see sand lines after sanding.

ahh, damn jealous see you all got time to do this..

i damn busy and have no resources with me atm.

btw, kevin, your progress seems pretty good..

hi i just bought my first car model....
wanna ask a lil before assembling it...
do i need to sand and apply primer to the body or can i just spray onto it without sanding and applying primer?
