I need some recommendation for digital camera.

Budget: Around RM1000
Brand: Any brand except SONY. If possible, Nikon, Olympus, Canon
Purpose: View, friends during gathering, etc. Normal use but require clear quality pic
Optical Zoom: 3X and above
LCD: Large Screen, 2.0 inch and above
External Memory: Available
Function: Multi-Functional (as many as possible)
Anti-Shake/Shock: Available (as not good in taking pic, will shake a little when taking pic)

i wouldn't recommend that...
the noise is unbearable @ iso 400
and the Mega O.I.S doesn't help much...


i'll suggest Fuji Finepix F10/F11/F30

Canon A610 ,many function ...
Digic2 processor fast ,smooth ,sharp

only things is no image stabilizer ,but with tht price is still worth it.

Or else FX8 with image stabilizer but less feature

I have went and ask the shop, he recommend me Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ1? Any comment on this phone?

Most of the recommeded DC is out of your budget already..like FX8 is arnd 12xx to 13xx. You need to raise your budget a bit to get what you want or try Casio stuff which arnd your budget..but I dunno the exact price.

if your budget cannot over, then try casio Z 110 ,it have 6 mega pixel;anti-shake;AA type batery;also a lot feature. But quality of image ok la, not bad;most important outside sell Rm 999 with 512mb sd card( price still can down a bit if negotiate )

i also recommeded panasonic camera cause of it famous lenc, even i never compare it.but you must bear in mind that battery type was expensive if future need to change or add

Casio Z110 do not have image stabilization, this camera not bad, will consider.



What do we see when we buy a digital camera? I really do not know about this.

A another shop seller introduce Nikon L1 to me but I found out that maximum ISO is only 200, is it ok for it?

Need more recommendation.... notworthy.gif

Another salesman recommend Ricoh Caplio R30. Mmm.. Seems not bad.

Wondering why every salesman recommend different digital camera....

I getting blur and confuse... Can any expert willing to guide me through this?

So far my choice is... And I need some comments from shifu.......

1) Panasonic DMC-LZ1
2) Nikon Coolpix L1
3) Ricoh Caplio R30
4) Olympus Stylus 600 Digital (also known as Olympus mju 600 Digital)
5) Panasonic DMC-FX8 (Wait the price drop till meet my budget which is RM1000)

Why??? Becoz they are not selling the other 'brand' or no stock of the brand that you require. Or they just want to sell slow moving stock to you.

But all also recommend dc which meet nearly to my requirment. Tat's why I am confuse and need your comments and help me to choose the most suitable dc.

Under1.3k

Panasonic FX8 (RM1070) +512MB (RM120) =RM1190

Ricoh camera not bad but there didnt do advertisment thts why it cheap,and hrd tht local distributor service not very good .


What type of camera u want 1st?

Slimest series?ex:Sony T,Nikon S ,Fuji Z ,Canon Ixus ??

P & S series ?

generally P & S produce better quality picture compare wif slim series.

what design ? Slim and stylish
what quality ? Good quality of coz!
what brand ? Canon, Nikon, Panasonic, Olympus
what function ? As many as possible, something like function of Canon A620
what tpye ? Type? Slim and stylish but good function
How much ? Below RM1300 (camera only, not included memory card and battery, if can or possible, everything in <RM1300 wink.gif )

Have decided what to buy. It is Canon A530 at quite a reasonable price.

The cheapest offer I get in Sg Wang is

Camera + Case - RM650
512MB SD Card 50x Fast speed- RM100
Screen Protector - RM20 (kinda expensive sad.gif)
Sony Rechargeable battery 4pcs 1700mah and charger - RM70
Mini tripod - F.O.C
Total - RM840

Any comment about this camera?
It is a good buy?

Boeing.. In Sg Wang got 5 of this same name shop. This 1 cheapest I got is KLG 2, near Voir and Vincci 1.

I might upgrade to A540 or A700. What do you guys think? Will over my budget, A700 seems not bad, but it will be bad for me if the price is too high. wink.gif What is the price for A540 and A700? Any1 know?

For A530, the price is around $330 but in Malaysia is around RM650(camera only). Maybe the quality is made in Malaysia.

mmm... hopefully the A700 produces better or similar quality pics as the A620.. it has a smaller sensor.. on the other hand, it has less pixels crammed onto it.

A700 coming out tis weekend. The sale person ask me go to PWTC matta fair to find for Canon booth... wink.gif

Really hope the price for A700 afforable and I will purchase it. hehe
