You dont need to buy original or OEM, just buy newly Western Digital Blue 320GB sata. Follow the firmware upgrade tutorial in Google and that's it. I've done with mine. But if you ask whether it's legit or not I'm not sure. However, you would NOT be banned in Xbox LIVE.

I found this tool called HDD Hckr v1.3 and it's as easy as counting 1,2,3. After performed that, I can see my HDD is marked with "Microsoft" logo, and just need to format that from Xbox itself. |

Well let's put it like this, If I were Microsoft, I don't mind my users buying 3rd party HDD. Because as the more space they have, they will likely to download and buy products from Xbox Live, which becomes a huge plus point to MS.
