hmm....true. but regardless of spec is not so true. since not many people not acknowledged well about the specs....so they go for brand. that's one big mindset planted into most of the people. 

You could say Android flagships mostly have advanced hardware, but they've yet to seamlessly bridge the gap between hardware and software making the hardware for most parts irrelevant in practical usage.

how much do you guys think a new iPad 3 64gb with cellular would cost when the iPad 4th comes out? thinking of getting it cheap.

i saw in one of the shop selling ipad in klcc a few days ago, ipad 3 already slashed the price a bit. as far as i remember 16gb wifi version around RM1.3k++ now.

I used to be crazy over specs and having the latest greatest device previously. Reality bites hard though as the wallet can't keep up with the heart.

Currently, I just buy a gadget when I need it and can afford it and I am immune already to that latest-greatest mental 'disease'. Using an iPad3 now, am tempted to go up to the 4th gen like most other users but it doesn't piss me off or make me sad or hate Apple. They're a business entity and it's obvious that their focus is making money and not in making friends.

i'm apple product lovers. from 2g till 4s continues support apple product.. even ipad 1,2 and 3. after steve pass away all the way to promote is similar to samsung. that is " sell the product". previously apple motto " how we chase the dream". the direction is totally changes.. feel down with apple....... just upgrade ipad 4 months ago but now ipad 4..... normally apple wont launch two same range together... like ipad mini and 4....... zzzz feel geram...

No more Apple for me. Felt betrayed for launching a new iPad for same price as 3rd gen. Next will be Nexus 4 and 10.

Well, to me it's just something necessary for Apple to introduce new iPad due to the new Lightning Connector alone, post-Steve or not. You see, the booming MFI industries greatly dependent to the type of connector being used though. And after iPhone 5, it just seems that the old 30-pin dock to be something the MFI industry is leaving, since it doesn't makes much sense for Apple's future products. And due to that, leaving that for iPad in the upcoming bustling 2012 holiday season purchases seems out of place for Apple. So it's actually better done earlier, like what has happened now.

Promote similar to Samsung? I beg to differ. Last time I've checked, tablets from the Tab2 series by them are utterly inferior compared to their own lineup released a year earlier, even down to its horsepower. All that while most of them retain their same price tag in Malaysia. But it seems that people are okay with that. And suddenly people are not so okay with Apple selling their new tablet with ginormous perfomance increase.

In the nutshell, i don't really see the basis of your hate here. Also, it's not like your current device suddenly disappear from the planet when newer ones is introduced. I'm sorry but I can't just see the logic here

Well, I'm not saying the analogy of Proton vs Ferrari is accurate, but I'm just agreeing on how people can 'hate' something without any concrete issue. And yeah, taking all the trouble and time to spread 'hate' countless time in iPad thread, it just doesn't makes sense. It's also mind boggling that most 'haters' haven't even got their hand on the device at all.

Well, if Proton suddenly announce a newer upgraded Preve tomorrow and I've just bought it several months ago, i'll may be in the same predicament. But 'hate' is not the right terminology. It's called envy. +10

somehow i feel all the fuss about a new ipad coming so soon is because those ipad 3 adopters cannot go around and showing "I have the latest iPad dude, what about you?"

Cause normally apple product will last at least a year before they move to th next generation... And this iPad too fast... And launch at the same time with iPad mini.. No more focus anymore... Steve motto gone... Apple going down now.... No more mystery and wow anymore
