Hi everyone!

As per the title, I have long hair, which get's oily at the scalp/roots within A DAY of shampooing while the ends are VERY DRY.Also slight frizzy hair, dunno due to what, maybe the frequent shampooing? hmm.gif

I have to shampoo EVERY DAY because I sure nobody can stand the greasiness, but I've read that it's no good. So I hope maybe you gurls have some recommendation of good shampoos out there? I've used quite a range which did not work at all.

Also I don't know if I want to spend a fortune to buy the dry shampoo they sell at Sephora because I dunno if it's effective or not. I work out every day, and my head will be drenched in sweat, so I think the dry shampoo won't be as much help. Every time I hear a beauty guru on youtube say "Don't wash your hair every day because it will strip your scalp of it's essential oils", I would feel like killing them. How am I supposed to leave my drenched in sweat hair (which will mix with the grease) after work out and live my life the next day and meet people? vmad.gif

Here's the list of shampoos that I can remember that I've been using

1. Tresemme For Coloured Hair (After prolonged use, made my scalp have some white stuff-maybe dandruff)
2. Himalaya Herbals for Greasy Hair (i think discontinued already)
3. Loreal Elseve White with red cap to combat all signs of damaged hair
4. Loreal Elseve Brown bottle with argan oil for frizzy hair (this makes my hair more greasy)
5.L'oreal Professionnel Pure Resource Citramine (got conned into buying by my hairdresser, so expensive but doesn't work)
6. herbal essences long term relationship (red bottle)
7. Guardian brand baby shampoo (hahaha, this was disastrous)

So I hope i can get some recommendations as I am very frustrated and actually thought of going botak might help doh.gif

Thanks!

P.S I do use conditioner at the tips of my hair and I have tried baby powder as dry shampoo. Did not work sad.gif

you can try using:

SCHWARZKOPF Moisture Kick shampoo

- Sometimes oily scalp can be overly cleanses, to protect the scalp our body automatically will produce moisture to protect.
- as you can see the dry end and frizzy hair. It could be the hair doesnt have enough protein to take from the root to the hair ends.

SCHWARZKOPF smooth shine conditioner

- after cleanses your hair, you want your hair to be smooth and shine. Use this would help.

Loreal Mystic Oil. ( to help frizzy hair and dry ends.)
- this oil works miracle.
- use this after half dry your hair. Comb it smoothy with your fingers. and then blow dry.
- your hair will be smooth and looks healthy.

My advices:

* Stop all the products that you are using right now.
* feel wastage? Use it to clean your toilet, or etc...it works great.

Tips:
* When washing your hair, with body temperature. Too hot will wash away the hair moisture then become dry.
* use cold water to wash your hair after apply the conditioner, you'll find it super smooth and soft.
* use your fingers to massage your hair. But nvr use let the conditioner or oil to massage on your scalp. Leave some space from the roots to avoid oiliness.

Thank you for the tips! I'm guessing these products are available at salons? Because I really hope they are available locally.

I have the exactly same problem as yours ! For me , I use Sunsilk Lively Clean & Fresh . It's the light green bottle. It works fine for me compare to other shampoo. Although the hair might get a little oily after 8 hours, it's still a better choice. Sometimes when I go to the hair salon , my hairdresser will help me to do a treatment for my hair. After that , my hair will be smooth and non-oily for the next 2-3 months . smile.gif
