Try this
Login to router > 192.168.xxx.xxx
>Administration
>Management
>IP Filter Settings
QUOTE
Maximum Ports : 4096
TCP Timeout (s) : 120
UDP Timeout (s) : 120

>Save Settings
>Reboot Router

Above setting probaly can solve "sometimes cant access to router as well.."

For the slow internet with BT 24hours, u need to enable QoS.
Suggest u play around with the

>Applications & Gaming
>QoS
>Port WAN
>243 Uplink kbps & 640 Downlink kbps (you can play around here)
>Services Priority
>Add>bittorrent>Priority (Bulk)
>Add/Edit Service>bittorrent port (e.g 29999)>Apply>Close

Still internet load slow, better than nothing.

I'm using this DD-WRT for about one week now. My problem is my internet connection always dc and sometimes i cannot log in to 192.168.1.1. The uptime is 5hours and below and the memory is always almost full (around 94~95%). How can I fix this?

thanks waifaq
i've successfully connected my WRT54GL with AM300
but the latency is unstable
sometimes i get 300ms, sometimes 234ms...
seems like not stable compared with last time
i'll give it a try for a few days first
thanks again
*
ping PC > Router = 234/300ms ?
or which IP address = 234/300ms ?
it would be better you post a screenshot.

Enabling QOS can actually prevent the router from hanging? Yes, i am running P2P. Tried all the solutions you gave. Still the same.
*
The word "hang" is too general, likely i have to guess yr problem, so hope u can explain details.
How it happen, When n for how long, n so on .....

Step 00
Normally it fix "can't access the router webpage".

Step 10
If you BT 24/7 n surf net sametime. QoS will make your internet experience much better.
But i can't gurantee it works with BT Protocol Encryption.
Don't forget u still need to limit BT/p2p upload.

Alternative try reflash to mini version.

Erm, usually it hangs when any p2p is running. And it hangs anytime, sometime after a few hours, sometime after 5 minutes (after i unplug the cord and replug it back).
*
How many PC are connect to the router ?
Wired n wireless ? If you using wireless, is the network secure ?

Recommend
P2P with ethernet only. Run only one p2p application.
If you are not using wireless, then disable router wireless.

Try not to P2P for 3 days. If within few hour still same. Then post up.

If 3 day no problem
Try lower TCP/UDP timeout to 45-60(router)
For the BT(uTorrent), lower the Global maximum number of connections to 200
Maximum upload rate to 10KB/s
For other p2p, apply same setting like BT(uTorrent)

Suspect
Possible yr router overheated. Try to put well ventilation place or fan blowing it.

Last option reflash to mini dd-wrt.

Good Luck smile.gif

Thanks. Will try your suggestions.
There are 6 computers running through the router, 2 ethernets, the other wireless. Wireless is secured. And i am using dd-wrt micro. Mini is another version? Can let me know how to change the firmware? Where to download? I know is in dd-wrt website, but can tell me which is the exact one? Provide me a link please, if possible, thanks!

I am also suspecting it is overheated. Will change it's place. Thanks, again!

You bought this WRT54G is preflash dd-wrt micro ?

Can you check yr serial number CDFx ?

QUOTE(yinsw @ Aug 18 2007, 10:59 PM)
Where can I buy WRT54GL in Penang? Nobody seems to be selling it. Is it going extinct or something?
*
You second option is look for Buffalo brand.
(WHR-G54S)RM159 & (WHR-HP-G54S)RM199 2year(1-1)

Yr last option, go to bulk section. search for WRT54GL

Good Luck

Sorry. What is preflash dd-wrt micro?
Yes the serial is CDFB.
*
QUOTE(vincent_ng86 @ Aug 22 2007, 09:17 AM)
Erm. I flashed the firmware myself.
*
I think is more than 3 days.
So how the result, without any P2P ?

Sorry, i don't think u can flash to mini.
WRT54G(CDFB) is v5. It only accept dd-wrt micro IIRC.

If you still want to P2P, try with ethernet only. Remember to limit yr upload speed.

Hi all,
I'm a new DD-WRT user.
Using it with Buffalo WHR-G54S.

Is there a way for me to access my modem through the WebUI without having to connect it directly to my pc?

My modem's ip is 192.168.1.254 while my router's is the default.
