Finally got my hand on a WRT54GL from singapore with S$88, not bad for the price considering the RM in lowyat. I flashed it once open without any problem till now!

Installed an old vga heatsink a top the broadcom chip, and make a big hole on router's body for 4inch fan..the main router is running on 300mhz (overclocked) and 75mW Txpower... i really hope it can hold up well... |

WOW!!! Nearly messed up my GL due to forgeting to reset b4 upgrading to SP2 via GUI, luckily Boot Wait is on, so I reflashed mini from tftp then upgrade to SP2, restore back my settings and I'm GOOD! PHEW!!!

QUOTE(calvin @ Sep 19 2006, 01:47 PM) anyone here can teach me how to split DHCP for WLAN and LAN ? set 1st router to handle eg. 192.168.1.101-150, 2nd router to handle 192.168.1.151-200... this should work i think for example i would like another router of mine to handle the LAN DHCP table and let my linksys handle the WLAN DHCP table...is that possible? besides that i'm getting a lot of errors for my Tx in the router sys info page |

wilson88, if u r upgrading from a DD-WRT from GUI, juz use the generic version, do a reset b4 upgrading, i did nearly mess up my upgrade when i forget to reset last time... but some ppl din hav any problem upgrading without reset as well... it all depends...
otherwise, if u r using tftp, use the wrtg54g/gs version... that's the diff from what i know... |
