Hi, I wanna ask if I wan to buy a WRT54G router, how i can check the firmware? Is it shown at the box?

So the safest way to avoid WRT54G v5 firmware is to buy WRT54GS router?

So S/N starting with CGN6 is the best?? v5 GS also same with v5 G rite??

Anyone here knows GS is wat version now?? v5 also?? Can be flashed?

I just bought a GS... flashed to the DD-WRT firmware.. the problem is when I use the line heavily such as emule,BT,surf net suddenly it will lost connection to the router... I'm using the LinkSys Wireless Adapter with Speed Booster... The router is still running but I lost contact with the router.. What's the problem??

Yeah... even wired also like that... the router did not DC from the line but my connection with router is lost for 1 sec.. I play dota straight DC-ed..

Yeah.. I using DHCP assigned IP..... about the lease time what is the maximum value i have to set??

Thx... Setup to static IP and disabled the DHCP server.... Going to see what happen in the next 24hours.

Need some help..... My wired based PC cant seem to detect my wireless PC while my wireless PC can detect the wired based PC... what is the problem?

I still encountered disconnection at random using wireless.... Really duno what is the problem....
