Hi everybody, I need help with my streamyx connection. Here's the situation:
I upgraded to the WRT54GS v.4 yesterday. Today I installed DD-WRT firmware v23 sp2 mini. I plug in the modem, etc. After I selected PPPOE and entered my streamyx login and password, I still cannot get online. Rebooting the router and turn off/on the modem didn't help.
What seems to be the problem?
Also what's the best settings for BitComet and emule?
Thanks for the help!

I bought a WRT54GS over the weekend and found it was version 6. I downloaded dd-wrt mini but it wouldn't flash. Can the version 6 be installed with some custom firmware like openwrt or dd-wrt?

I need some advice. I have a Linksys WRT54GS version 6 router which I flashed with DD-WRT Micro. I have an Aztech 600E ADSL modem. When I turn them on, I get internet connection, but only for a very short while, like 2 minutes. Thereafter, the modem is disconnected. I've gone into the management console of the router and tried manually to connect, but it doesn't. I have also hard resetted the Aztech modem. But it's still the same; Connect for 2 minutes, after that, disconnected until the next hard reset.
It doesn't seem to be a line fault because I'm typing this using a direct connection to the modem.
Anyone solved this problem before?

QUOTE(ldragon @ Nov 5 2006, 12:38 AM) Bernard Yeo, Please check the Aztech 600E firmware version. if it is version 62.4.4 you will have to patch it ftp://ftp.aztech.com/Malaysia/ADSL/DSL600E/62.4.4a-001.zipMore info: http://www.aztech.com.sg/support_malaysia.htmlldragon, my brother has another adsl modem. It's a Kasda. It also has the same problem. Connect 2 minutes or none at all. Could this mean it's a router problem? This was like that even before I flashed the firmware. Is my warranty voided with the firmware change?

And I did upgrade the firmware on the original modem, tested it and it works fine. This post has been edited by Bernard Yeo: Nov 6 2006, 06:48 PM

Hi, I got a question about setting up DDNS. I got an IP camera that I want to have online. The camera's IP address is 192.168.25.99. My web address with dyndns.org is bernardyeo.dyndns.org.
On the dd-wrt control panel, under Setup there's DDNS. I suppose I need to fill in the form, but I can't seem to get it right. What's hostname for? And where do I input my camera's IP address?
Thanks for all your help, sifus!!

Hi, I'm using a WRT54G v4 (I think) with DD-WRT in the office. Recently the staff discovered entire Chinese HongKong drama streaming episodes. Anyway to block streaming video from these sites?
