ok ... flashed the ..dd-wrt.v24-9517_VINT_mini.bin first then dd-wrt.v24-9517_VINT_mega.bin on my wrt54gs v1.1 ... well its a bit of heavy loading for the web GUI ddwrt ... other than that .. it works fine ..... very fine .. so many extra features that i can't wait to try out. ...

and by the way the default settings on the new ddwrt v24 is

Maximum Ports
Default: 4096
TCP Timeout (in seconds)
Default: 3600
UDP Timeout (in seconds)
default: 120
thats the exact settings that i used to prevent the ddwrt web gui from hanging when using p2p ... i am glad they took the initiative and effort to change the settings.

Added on May 30, 2008, 1:20 ami have ubuntuserver as nas .... well the movies on my nas react a lot faster ... and so is the transfer rate ... i love my router ... cheap and yet powerful ... i should thank this forum for introducing open source stuff .... its really great

and i do major p2p and ftp downloads without slowdown on gui..

using wrt54g version 3.1 .. and a backup wrt54g version 2.2.. both running ddwrt v2.4

Those who want buy WRT54GL v1.1 faster fo ALL IT.
I bought one for my uncle for RM185.. really worth it..
Much cheaper than bulk in LYN for RM210..
They told me its on promotion for Xi Chuan donation, thats why got extra discount.. dun waste your time liao..

guys i have upgraded my WRT54GL to the ddwrt v24 mini...one question can mine support standard? and what is the diffrence between micro,mini & standard any diffrence in performance? thx

both GL v1.0 & v1.1 can support standard version as well.

can i know whats the diffrence between standard & mini ?

standard comes with all the bells and whistles such as IPV6 , KAID and other things. Mini is sufficient enough !

is anyone having problem with UPNP of the DD-WRT v24? I can't seem to host game with it :S. + when i port forward, i can't seem to add ip for some reason :S..

What reason is that?
