you only have preve, inspira, forte, elantra and 308 that will fit your budget, and since you wanted multi link instead of torsion beam, you are only left with inspira and preve, not sure about 308.

on a side note, funny how they keep recommending focus in lyn, but it's not translating into sales, the first and second gen focus are one of the worst selling C-segment cars in malaysia, maybe the third gen will sell more, but it will continue to be one of the worst selling.

Many people do not BUY the FOCUS is because of its resale value.
The engine may have just enough juice for the car, but the handling is spot on.
The new design wise isnt an eye catcher, but the previous version definitely was.

This is typical Malaysian mindset "Buy the car with the highest resale value!".
No brainer for this. Toyota/Honda.

I would suggest TS to consider the Forte 2.0, if you want more drive? the 308 pug has a good engine.
Torquey and fun to drive, tho it is not as composed as a Ford Focus / Honda Civic.

If you plan to have a family for ride comfort, suggest:-
Nissan
Toyota
Forte (This may be a little on the hard side)

If you want more fun driving
Honda
Ford
Mazda
Peugeot

Go for Kia Forte 2.0. Definitely bang for buck.
Or probably the Hyundai Elantra 1.8.

Not a Korean fanboy car but with all the accessories and with 5 year warranty, its a steal.
