it depend if anyone will raised it, imei and location can be collected. jus tif they want to do it or not.
Even now u said your phone stolen and report to police, the telco will say, this is not their  policy.

But u dont know what has been tampered with for the stolen item, like additional application installed to get your keystoke and go to your bank..

Any official news? How did you know those stolen IMEI numbers? lol
