just bought new ipad a month ago after sold my ipad 2.

Not likely can exchange, Tim Cook did not say can do it.

that exchange is only apply to few apple shop in US, it might come from shop owner themselves (maybe that apple shop is franchise or authorized dealer?)

this will create unrest new ipad owners i guess

Im very dissapointed with this.. i bought it from our malaysia authorise apple dealer with receipt, suppose can exchange..if i bought it from individual seller then i have nothing to comment since there's no proven receipt of purchase..

I guess for all ipad 3 owners...just wait for next year's ipad 5 since not much improvement except the CPU and all sorts of claims that ipad 4 is 2x in terms of performance n wifi....well i guess ipad 2 never obsolete as it still available on the apple store website..huhu

Ipad 4 or no ipad 4, IMO ipad3 is still a great product..

BTW, the rumors about Ipad4 and the 23 Oct launching event have started weeks ago.. It was unfortunate that you did not read bout it.. If you hv known then, you would hv delayed your ipad3 purchase..

it's still working fine. it's just that it's now obsolete, that means no longer in production.

Ppl are all focusing on the ipad mini..unexpected newer ipad with lightning cable release on same date.. i bought my ipad from my friends which work in apple authorise dealer, even he had no idea about 4th Gen release..

i am ipad 3 user...ya, feel cheated also as ipad 3 life span is 6-7 months? and they jus replace it with faster processor and lighning connector?

well, still same design,ipad 3 still RD, same as ipad 4, jus with faster processer...so i leave it....for home use...getting ipad mini for travelling purpose...

Apple should do the right thing.. Compesate those who hv just recently bought the ipad3..

Yeah i bought my Ipad 3 in July 32 gig +3g..
Sakit... but im not suprised why they did that.. But cud have planned it better...

At least if they made Ipad4 lighter might let it go and upgrade if price is good. if im not mistaken its same weight... other specs almost same except for processor
