But no regrets also la. Been using it for 4 months already.

Unfortunately it doesn't have mhl support.
I tried plug in mhl cable hoping for miracles.
But confirm not working.

Wow, today I was very busy and did not use my tablet at all.
When I checked, still 100% battery. Amazing, it must've have a very nice nap, talk about deep sleep. Wifi Skype and sync was on the whole time.

Stock rom. I didn't do anything at all.

I don't think anything is wrong with my battery.
I never face random reboot or shutdown.
My battery is dropping steadily as I use.

Now got 59%
Screen on time 2.5 hours.
Skype video call for 1hour 15mins, the rest is YouTube and chrome.



Ok I don't charge it tonight. See tomorrow after 20% will shutdown or not.

many people always say rear camera on a tablet is useless.

but yesterday i feel so sad without one. i do not intend of using it for taking pictures.
but having a rear camera is really useful during video chat.

i was skyping with friend, i wanted to show direction from a place to another, i'm having a hard time to describe. so she suggested i take a paper and doddle on it.
its so hard to adjust the front camera to record the paper. in d end give up, use my phone snap and whatsapp her. more hassle.

she did that many times before, using her rear camera to point at a paper and draw something to aid the description of something. it was so easy for her since tablet can switch to rear camera seamlessly.

having a rear camera is useful. during video chat, if want to show an item to the other fella, just change the camera to rear camera and can easily show what you want to show around you. really struggle to display something using only the front camera.

so next time i wont be saying rear camera is useless i do hope to have one.

What's your brightness and screen on time?
I easily get 5 hours screen on with auto brightness.

If you set 20% or less I think can hit 6 hours.

i forgot about this, i did not face such problem

this morning i use until 12% then only i charge.

mine maintain 100% whole day due to standby.
i did not use it. screen on 4 minutes, i was in deep sleep entire time, not awake also.

i have a case. but i only put it on when i travel, or wana bring it around.
at home i just use it naked. easier to hold and lighter.

one reason is that the speaker is at the back.
very often i use my right hand to "cupped" the speaker, it becomes much louder.

speaker should be placed at the sides or the front,
duno why manufacturers like to put it at the back, so dumb.

Just plug an ear phone. It's better for movies.
No external speaker cn match the earphones anyways.

google now got new update. although not stated in the description, it can do some new tricks.

previous can only set reminder on the same day.

now you can say something like this:
"remind me to collect the groceries at 3pm on the 16th of december"

and magically in google calendar will have a reminder at the stated time and date. nice.

i tried things like "turn on bluetooth", unfortunately it doesnt work.

but you can do things like "open facebook", it does launch the app, but takes so long, better off launch it manually.
not sure whether this was possible before the update or not. still exploring what is new, the animation is abit slicker.

Tegra is not as good as u claim.
I watch ice age movie 720p, if put on hw, it stutters only 2 frame / second.

Put hw+ only works smooth.

On samsung s2. Whatever mode (hw,hw+,sw) I put also smooth. Same movie, same app which is mx player.

Duno codex problem or what la. But if put hw in n7, some video stutter very serious. I always leave it at hw+.

You can disable 3g by going to settings, data usage, and turn off the mobile data.

No need enter airplane mode.
And it's common sense 3g drain battery. Not only for tablet, smartphones as well. Only on 3g when u r out of wifi area n need to online.

After some effort, i manage to get the gamepad and emulators to work.

but it turned out not as fun as i though. those games back then were insanely hard to play.

contra: just one man vs an entire army, get shot once instant death
ninja turtles: one ninja vs infinite amount of minions (seriously!), press attack button until thumb also sore
megaman: i shoot boss soooo many times, he lose 1% health, boss touch me one time i lose 30% health, did i mention boss health bar is twice longer than mine ><
castlevania: the game in slow motion one, sweat. also one touch by enemy instant death
mario: keep falling into holes, floor damn slippery, touch by enemy also instant death

i'm beginning to see a trend, those games back then, they wana earn money by players insert "coins" real money after they die to continue. thats how the earn $$ so must make the game very hard to play and very easy to die.

kids these days are less patient, lazier, so modern games difficulty is much easier,
but have to use real $$ to buy weapons to make the game less repetitive and fun.

actually, that is just a photo frame. rm2.9 from living cabin.
sadly they only have pink color. but not a big deal since the tablet cover most of it

i have no issue with slow charging, bluetooth,screen flicker, random reboot, poor battery, or UI sluggish.

strange thing is my auto brightness works better than it was in 4.1.1 &4.1.2
previously it just doesnt work, need to off screen and on back only it adjust.

now in 4.2 mine adjust brightness on the fly, within 5 seconds, great stuff.

completely stock, just rooted thats all.
