QUOTE(mtxx @ Oct 30 2012, 10:59 PM) glazed rom is a really ciplak rom. Actually I find Glazed the best. There's an update recently to v4.2. I was on Glazed 4.1 with Motley+. My first ROM i flashed in and I really like the stability and simplicity. After that I tried others like the version number write wrong, project butter not working at recent app list, icons oversize till cut off at notification tray it was the one of the early custom rom, and also the most laggy one. stock rom pownes it. but problem is many people in xda never try stock rom, once buy straight flash custom rom. the developer small kid only. 13 or 15 years old forgot. it was built i think development end since end of july. and started again only recently. now the new one maybe much more improvement. you try and see. i also looking for a way to make the colors on n7 punchier and more vibrant. tried so many screen related app in market, all not work one. you try and see the bravia engine got make it better or not. everytime after i look n7 after see amoled screen. the n7 loos like black and white only. so pale. XenonHD - another minimalist Kaos - lots of options at aroma, including kernel Paranoid - tablet / phabet UI. You have to try it out to experience it. Glazed 4.1 was already very smoooth and stable for me but I just want to check out other ROM. Now on Glazed v4.2 with trinity 7. To compare N7's with amoled is pretty unfair. It's like saying you like apple and wished oranges taste like apple. @orenzai : To choose a ROM you have to ask what are you looking for that your current ROM is lacking? Do you prioritize speed, stability, functionality, UI etc? |

Long time iPad 1 user here, generally a light user mainly surfing/video streaming with the iPad. Have read many good review of the N7 but am a little worried with the built quality(even in this thread itself there's mention of issues which require various attempt of warranty claim).
How is it really to you guys about the built? Worth switching? Or I should just maybe continue to use the iPad 1?Not trying to compare iOS vs android but more of the physical hardware reliability of it. The thought of switching is I find 10' tablet a little tad big and not wishing to spend alot on the new iPad mini which isn't very much exciting. |

The hardware does have some issue in the earlier batch, so if you purchase now it should have no more problem. |

I own an Ipad2, been using it a lot before buying , but because I was using mostly Google product (gmail, google reader, youtube, gtalk) I found out I preferred Nexus 7 more. I also like the way that android is more like windows/linux enviroment compared to IOS which is more restricted. How is it really to you guys about the built? Worth switching? There seems to be a minority that having trouble, but a majority seems OK with their unit. Mine is ok, only the screen flickering sometime. My only concern is the battery life, because I am using it constantly then need to charge it daily. if you are concern with built issue I advise that you buy from a Malaysian shop rather than online, in the event of built issue you just can have the shop exchange it for you quickly or just check the unit 1st before paying. Just my 2 cent |

QUOTE(n0v1ce @ Oct 31 2012, 01:49 PM) Its so tempting to put mine up too, but seeing there's already quite a few out there maybe I'll just hold on to it. I think I've grown rather attached to itThis post has been edited by redlyfs: Oct 31 2012, 03:41 PM |
