wait, nexus 7 markup was done by asus malaysia right? other nexus from sammy and lg would also be priced "exorbitantly" higher?

Guys,
I need some help from the forummers who has had prior experience. I plan to ask a relative to get the 3G version for me from the US. What sort of obstacles can I expect when she brings it in? 1. Extra tax? AFAIK, it may not be taxed as a cellular device if it doesn't have a phone function. Is this true? 2. SIRIM obstacles? 3.
