QUOTE(iSean @ Oct 23 2012, 04:57 PM) Islamic Laws some people simply did not go to school, and cant differentiate confined bred animals like pigs, and vast sea bred species like the crabs. Seriously at an atheist standpoint, Crabs and Prawns(Shrimps) are just food. They feed on dead animals which brings more toxic then your average PIG. Still people eat it. A simple Equation for those bastards who don't read: Pigs = Shrimps/Prawns and Crabs. from the internet: Crabs are omnivores, feeding primarily on algae,[22] and taking any other food, including molluscs, worms, other crustaceans, fungi, bacteria and detritus, depending on their availability and the crab species. For many crabs, a mixed diet of plant and animal matter results in the fastest growth and greatest fitness.[23][24] However, some species are more specialized in their diets. Some eat plankton, some eat primarily shellfish like clams and some even catch fish. Red Crabs diet consists mainly of fallen leaves, fruits, flowers and seedlings. They prefer fresh green leaves but will eat any fallen leaves. They are not solely vegetarian however. They will eat other dead crabs and birds, the introduced Giant African snail and palatable human rubbish if the opportunity presents itself. Adult blue crabs prefer mollusks such as oysters and hard clams as their primary food sources. The crab uses the tips of its front-most walking legs to probe the bottom for buried bivalves and to manipulate them after they are located. Some other common food items include dead and live fish, crabs (including other blue crabs), shrimp, benthic macroinvertebrates, organic debris, and aquatic plants and associated fauna such as roots, shoots and leaves of sea lettuce, eelgrass, ditch grass, and salt marsh grass. It will also prey on oyster spat, newly set oysters and clams, or young oysters and quahogs if other food is unavailable. Snow crabs diets vary with their age and how deep they live. Larvae feed primarily on phytoplankton. Juveniles and adults will eat almost anything but mainly eat bivalves, polychaete worms, gastropods, crabs (including other snow crab), shrimp, and fish. Adult coconut crabs feed on fruits, nuts, seeds, and the pith of fallen trees, but will eat carrion and other organic matter opportunistically. The species is popularly associated with the coconut, and has been widely reported to climb trees to pick coconuts, which it then opens to eat the flesh. While coconut crabs can climb trees, and can eventually open a coconut collectively, coconuts are not a significant part of their diet. Red king crabs diets vary with their age and how deep they live. Larval crab float around as zooplankton (microscopic animals) while eating lots of plankton (microscopic plants); as they get older juvenile crab fall to the ocean floor and begin feeding on benthic organisms; as adults red king crabs eat an assortment of worms, bivalves, echinoderms and algae. Alaskan King crabs enjoy a wide variety of treats treading the Alaskan sea floor. They chow down on clams, mussels, snails, sea worms, brittle stars, sand dollars, algae, barnacles, and sea urchins, to name a few. how in the world does crabs' diet is the same as pigs'????? |
