i suspect it's to do with the internal bus... meaning the connection between the memory (internal and external) and the processor. i suspect that's where the bottle neck is for phones... i guess it'll be faster with Note 3, Note 4, etc...

but if it's going to be installed on your phone... i suggest you get him a phone first... then game next. that way, he can play on his own phone.

i use my yoobao these days... even in the car. i do have a car charger... but i find it's easier to just use yoobao coz sometimes, not in the car that long. with yoobao... when i leave the car, i can carry both... meaning the phone still being charged... till i need to use it.

not really that japanese games are more expensive...

most of these RPG games are from japanese companies. good story. and like Final Fantasy, you buy one time and that's it. no in-game purchases.

some newer breed of RPG games like Zenonia... free to play. but sikit-sikit... need to pay. end up, your cost might be more in the long run.

try A Bard's Tale la... cheap only. it's not japanese... usd2.99.

and yes, tied to gmail account. as long as you setup that account on the android device, then that device can download the apps you have purchase (unless its really not compatible -- this can sometimes happen).

btw, i'm just surprised iphone fella actually wanna play games on android device. most of the time, i hear iphone ppl say Android dun have good games...

i use Androzip. started off using it to unzip... then realised it's also good as a file explorer...

for me... no time to game on PC. i'm considered casual and with phone always with me... easier to access when i wanna play games.
