is it worth to get the newly launch mdr-10r? for normal use with pc n note 2.
any recommendation is welcome

best to try it yourself. i went to mdr1rmk2 as i found the comfort and size of 10r is not as good as 1rmk2 and the ear-cup is small abit.
no regret getting 1rmk2. now i need to save and get the fio x3 or smth similiar.

I'm also targetting the ZX1 to replace the AK120.
If the local price is not that much higher than Pricejapan, I'll wait for the local set

You haven't try putting in the HM901 or DX100 in your jeans pocket have you? 
With the AK240 being priced like they are made of gold, I'm aiming for local set ZX1 or Calyx M

Thanks for your reply. Thing is, I'm studying in Germany now. And the f886 cost 300 euros here. Plus apparently in EU there is a regulation on max volume from audio devices which some ppl claim can lead to sound distortion.

Sony Germany doesn't seem be as active as Sony Malaysia and don't really have lots of promotions. 
I might be coming back end of the year, so I'm hoping there will be sale then. If they have promotion at other times, it might be a bit difficult for me.

As for headphones, I found out that I hate headphones (my ears feel really warm and uncomfortable after 20 minutes), and I don't like the grip of the headphone. So I only use earphones. The Sony PFR-V1 looks interesting, but some reviews mentioned issues with fit and comfort, and I'm very wary of that. Maybe I might reconsider later.

I know! Regret I didn't think of buying portable media player when I went back last time. Only last week started to think I want to get a player.
