The only reason why I got the Sony MDR-1RBTMK2 over the MDR-1RNCMK2 is because of the wireless system a.k.a NFC. Trust me, both are going off on roughly the same price and I had a hard time deciding which to go for.
I tried the MDR-1RNCMK2 and I was not impressed with the quality of noise cancelling, partly because I have tried the Bose QC15 which is far superior in terms of audio and noise cancelling than the Sony's variant. My piece of advice for those who wants noise cancelling, try the Bose QC15 first before deciding.
Coming from only Sony XBA-40 as my earphone and Edifier E30 Spinnakers as my speakers, do take my review as a pinch of salt.
Initial impression of the NFC system is good, I was virtually on the headphone everywhere I went within the house and the audio is crystal clear, though there exist some jerks once within 2-3 minutes. It was also very easy to switch between bluetooth and NFC on the headphone. The earmuffs are comfortable and I don't feel tired wearing them all day long.
However, I still prefer my XBA-40's audio quality but I believe I need to let my headphone burn in more hours before I could judge further on that, which I will be post in the near future. Overall, for a bluetooth headset, I know the quality is top notch in my POV and it is hard to compare it with a wired headset.
First time spending on such expensive headsets =D
Looks cool and solid, wish it could have as much metal parts as the Sony MDR1RNCMK2
Again, I wished they come with hardcase like the Sony MDR1RNCMK2
The buttons are easily accessible but need some time to get use to it
