Whether you can tell the difference between a decently-sample Ogg file and FLAC, that's another question.

QUOTE(Lego Warfare @ Apr 12 2015, 08:48 AM) ![]() I bring 2 rigs whenever I'm out just to get my gf more interested in Head-fi... frankly she doesn't really care about the sound quality, but 2 days ago I got her slightly interested in Custom IEMs by showing her pictures as some looked pretty (Gonna be at my expense of course...) |

QUOTE(ktek @ May 6 2015, 05:23 AM) I'm using the F886, and I used to use the stock player app.I switched because the stock player had trouble recognising albums with same title but from different artistes. E.g. I had 2 albums called "Greatest Hits" by 2 different artists, yet all the songs from both albums are grouped together. A bit of googling shows that this bug existed in previous Sony music app players (non-android). I'm now using Pro Player. In addition to correctly recognising album by artistes, I can also use Ogg files (a gripe I had with stock player, as I prefer Ogg over MP3). And the gapless playback also works flawlessly in Pro Player compared to the stock player - supposedly it has gapless playback feature but I never noticed it working. |

QUOTE(Problem @ Jun 2 2015, 06:34 PM) I'm not an expert, but I read that some folks at Headfi have observed that some SD cards can cause some sibilant noise (maybe static) or some skipping. So maybe not all SD cards are the same. |

QUOTE(zhou.xingxing @ Jun 29 2015, 01:04 PM) Hi guys. Jus got my a15. Didnt know it doesnt come w earphone. So can recommend me any in ear earphone? Jus wna utilize the hi res feature For Sony, XBA-A2, A3, H3and Z5 is certified Hi-REs.I was using XBA-A2, quite happy with it but then lost the left driver (stupid detachable cable). Now using A1. But you don't really need a certified Hi-Res earphone to get good-quality sound. Also your input audio file needs to also be high-res, e.g. 24/96 to fully enjoy it. |

QUOTE(andyting @ Aug 8 2015, 10:58 AM) hey guys, would like to ask, any difference between the nwa-a15 (the Rm499 very tempting The Hi-Res Audio is the DSEE feature, which makes the audio sounds a bit tighter. It does sound a bit better, but the feature is quite battery-draining so I only use it occasionally if I'm charging the device.Transferring is by drag and drop, so pretty easy. Also as moniqee mentioned, it comes with an SD card. As for comparing between ipod and it, I have never used ipod before but if i'm not mistaken they just use a generic DAC right. For what it's worth, there is a slight difference that I can tell in audio quality using the same earphones, comparing between my Xperia Z3 and F-806. |

Saw the ZX-100, not really interested.
I'm only interested if a new mid-range walkman that supports Android and wifi (I use streaming music service), and also some new mid-range IEMs. |

QUOTE(babyk @ Sep 8 2015, 08:38 PM) I tried to order the A15 but Sony called me up and said no more stock I thought most walkman made in malaysia? My F886 also made in malaysia, and I think the ZX1 and ZX2 as well. And I am glad that they tell me no more stock as they are launching A20 series!! Much better options and features! Can't wait for that new player to come out! So A10 series officially phase out A20 series are made in Malaysia |

QUOTE(E1 - AKG @ Sep 13 2015, 06:41 AM) the new h.ear headphones sounded really good despite the fancy colours ... the new zx-100 is a departure of the typical sony sound, much more neutral, same with the triple drive new xba-300. Eh, there are new earphones? I think i missed that. What's the range for XBA-300? Is it supposed to be better than the current XBA-A series? I guess the xba-z5 is still the most premium product for IEMs. |

QUOTE(E1 - AKG @ Sep 14 2015, 12:35 AM) Erm, thanks a lot though I guess I'm still a bit unclear about it.I'm currently using a XBA-A1 - would the XBA-300 be sort of an upgrade over it? What are your impressions of it? Thanks a lot again! |
