tried ZX-300, the black brick and the gold brick with Sony top of the line Z1R at Sony Store Singapore, can't really comment on the sound cause the stupid shop is blasting Christmas songs near the testing counter, bodolol
but if you have a hard to drive headphone, ZX-300 is a no, I have to push the volume up to 80% at normal gain to have a decent listening volume, and which high gain, I can hear the sound start cracking. But for me the difference between black brick (1A) and gold brick (1Z) are no significant, if I have the money to spend I will go for 1A, if... But with that price range I can go for AK already... |

I only managed to get AptX with the latest OOS Oreo Stable with my 1000X. I was able to use (or so it showed) LDAC with beta version. Just want to ask you whether you're on Beta and how to configure/reset it. Guys, need recommend for audio experience upgrade.
Currently using Note 8 with its free AKG earpiece. I use Spotify (premium id) listening to Chill Mix, Pop, electro music most of the time. Any recommend upgrade? add a DAC Amp? Will lose portability? |

QUOTE(vincetee06 @ Nov 27 2017, 12:11 PM) The current AKG pair already satisfied me, just the bass not depth enough. You want to use with Spotify? There is Shanling M3S or the cheapest android DAP AP200 which I’m selling *hint hint* lol. Any recommend? i looking at N3AP, any review? But the most improvement you’ll find is through upgrading earphones/headphones first. |

But why would you want to use it as a DAC for your phone when you can just use it straight as a player?Any user here? worth for the price? It is only newly/barely released in the market, so I doubt there are users here. |

QUOTE(vincetee06 @ Nov 27 2017, 12:28 PM) Guys, need recommend for audio experience upgrade. I agreed with buying a good pair of earphone. Not that the AKG provided by Note 8 is no good. It's just that, you can't change the sound signature much with a DAC with the provided AKG in Note 8.Currently using Note 8 with its free AKG earpiece. I use Spotify (premium id) listening to Chill Mix, Pop, electro music most of the time. Any recommend upgrade? add a DAC Amp? Will lose portability? Tested it yesterday, the soundstage with the AKG is just okay okay only but separation is good since it's free. It's definitely better than those Samsung earbud though. I did audit the N3AP in AEON, not bad and confortable, but the price can buy DAC already Tested it yesterday, the soundstage with the AKG is just okay okay only but separation is good since it's free. Indeed as you say, official ROM seems lack of LDAC codec while aptx is just secretly included inside ROM as after I tested another pair of 1000XM2 in jaben nu sentral But if u look down to those settings, i don't think is running on aptx since aptx doesn't support 32 bits sample rate? QUOTE(sss2sssss @ Nov 27 2017, 04:58 PM) Hmm ok for ur questions, seems now I'm having the official ROM while few days ago I'm running open beta so i tried in this official ROM. Thanks for the feedback. So now I'm not sure what's wrongly indicated, the bitrate or codec. Anyway, during Beta, under Bluetooth settings menu, the headset will have an extra LDAC option too. It's not there anymore now. Anyway, I'm still getting very good quality out of my 1000X so I'm not really complaining hehe. |
