WM1 driving power definitely stronger, especially the 4.4mm balance out. Try it with Z1r, not bad.

ui is not the selling point. hope they improve the a10 a20 output power

depends on ppl preference. just test on the gathering @ alexis this afternoon. UI is better than pre-production unit. audio quality wise, i very hardly notice the difference compare with A10 & A20 series

Guys, Black Friday early sale got this at Amazon at 88USD atm

https://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDRXB950BT-Extr...1%2Cp_89%3ASony

Is this headphone worth it? It translate to RM520+ after shipping (unless someone want to share shipping with me >_<;). Any sifu like to comment?

Congrats. rclxms.gif

I'm tempted but a closed system and the lack of WiFi seems like an oversight in this day and age...

Well, the way I looked at it, if I just wanted to stream stuff with variable quality/mastering, I could easily just use my phone for it. This is for well mastered tracks, in lossless format at a minimum, via my best IEMs (and possibly headphones, but haven't been able to purchase that darn cable yet).

So I know exactly what I'm planning to use it for, even my previous ZX2 I rarely streamed stuff with it, let alone browse the net or watch videos etc. It's not a Swiss army knife, it's more like a surgeon's scalpel biggrin.gif

you can try it at Harvey Norman @ Nu Sentral. they got a demo unit there.
good noise cancellation and the hand over right side to hear ppl talk is an awesome feature.
you might want to take a look on this HS rival - Bose QuietComfort 35.

using mdr-1r hence no point to consider getting this unless wanted a Bluetooth HS.

My Oneplus One doesn't support AptX which quite let-down listening to music over BT on my MDR-1000X. However I activate it by flashing a zip file found in XDA Forum. Since my OPO is already on CM14.1, it worked flawlessly.

I also manage to activate AptX on my Dell Inspiron 15 7559 after I stumbled on post in NotebookReview Forum . I installed the Intel 8260 Bluetooth driver and sound works flawlessly over BT.

There's quite a remarkable sound difference when listening through AptX, especially in clarity. I'm sure Sony's LDAC will give even higher SQ, but I will have to wait another day till I own a Sony phone/walkman.

Neither. AptX i learned so far is only barely decent on 320kbps mp3 or below .

go for LDAC supported headphones/speakers, best bang for the bucks, 0 loss on CD quality songs.
