Anyway, am an S3 Garnet Red user for almost a month now. so far so good until up to today. Suddenly my S3 would auto off by itself. I mean even when the battery was low all these while, it never happen before. Only today it happened twice. any idea why? Did not root my phone. Using Stock ICS 4.0.4

Recent Apps Installed
-Asphalt 7(free from Samsung Apps)
-Nova Launcher Free(but have been using Nova for a week now, have no issues with it in terms of perfomance)
-Go Keyboard
-Go SMS Pro

any of these apps might trigger the sudden auto off?

it's quite weird actually. I mean the time when it is auto off only when the battery is about 25 - 38%. So far it only happened twice and i never let any apps running. (even when I leave any app running, this never happened before). But even when the battery is at that stage over the past month, this never occured.

it happened twice on friday. that was the first time. then yesterday it happened once. there is no other options besides master reset? I don't really seem to find this solution very practical. It's like spamming in technical support, saying ''REFORMAT la. sure gao dim dy the problem''/ No offence though. I would just want to have a proper diagnosis. What if the problem reoccur after formatting my phone? 
Well. I'm pretty sure it is auto off. Since when i press the power button or the home button, nothing pops up. I mean i press once to switch on LED. I mean that is the function of short press right. Only when I press it for a longer time, it switches on back, showing the Lock screen.

I have a few apps that I would want to prevent from running in background processes since I'm not using them. Apps such as LINE or games like GT Academy, Samurai Vs Zombie, Blood and Glory. But i cant seem to kill them in task manager. for LINE, it refuses to be killed. It will auto restart itself in the background processes.

Google never sent stock vanilla firmware to S3. All official firmware comes from Samsung (with Touchwiz UI)
Yes..S3 will get KeyLime Pie as Samsung have obligation with Google to upgrade atleast two firmwares version.
So from ICS > JellyBeans > KeyLime Pie.
After that you can only hope and pray hard for another firmware upgrades.

Maybe I wasn't clear, I was referring to turn by turn navigation on google maps which is disabled in Malaysia?

I understand that with a rooted device, you can do a clean uninstall of google maps and then do an install of a modded maps which allow navi.  But on unrooted S3, you can't do a clean uninstall of google maps which means you can't do an installation of the modded google maps

google map turn by turn navi required internet connection right? will it consume 3G a lot?

Forget about Papago. Their maps are too outdated.

Waze will continue to improve with more users. Some  areas are more detailed than Google maps.

Hi, I got 3 questions.
1. I dont have CWM apps? Rooted with CF 6.4 and flashed ARHD. Do I need to install CWM separately. SU is there.
2. My whatapps doesnt show full listing from contact, same to viber (Synchronization not working well), any idea to fix this? Flashed from ICS, before that full contact sync-ed. Enabled "Sync" option though.
3. Any other option to wake S3 without using home button? Afraid my home button damage in long run.

I just got my Samsung Galaxy S3 , Moved from iOS and this my first android phone    , I enjoyed it very much

I used some headphones and the sound quality is not so good , can anyone recommend  , not those in-ear ones but outer ear buds

My S3 got problem after changing SIM.. I just realize it few days later.. No wonder I keep getting missed call.. My caller ringtone not ring, just vibrate..

I wonder what causes this.. Tried everything; restart, go to sound settings, change ringtone, etc. Even factory reset.
The last thing I did was install back official ICS.. Before this I just root only, no custom..

Anyone have this problem before?

Changing from Maxis to uMobile sim.. Now it's ok already after install back official ICS..
I cut the sim myself but it's not sim problem coz I tried it in other phone, no problem occur..
