Hey guys, Anyone got any jellybean rom to suggest?

Been using ParanoidAndroid for quite some time now. I mean it's good but got bored of it.

If you ask me, close to stock is either ARHD or Wanam. Customization is Omega.
*
Sweet. Downloading ARHD as we speak smile.gif

Just a noob question, does ROM affect battery consumption?

Yeah..in some way. However, most of the time is also through those bloatwares and how often you select your sync etc.
*
Sorry but what do you mean by "how often you select your sync etc." .. meaning how often i sync?

And I wanna ask, Is there a way to stop apps from running in the background?

Because my game apps like Cut the Rope automatically run in the background after I reboot.

RomToolBox can set which app to not even run on OS startup. May look into it.

And yes meaning how long u set the interval for syncing. And also overclocking underclocking etc. Running default on ARHD should be good enough tho. Once advise on ARHD is I find Perseus kernel (selectable in aroma installer) is way faster than stock kernel.
*
Alright thanks thumbup.gif

One more question if you don't mind sweat.gif sweat.gif

What's the difference between kernel and rom?

Some Android Definitions

ROM basically is the whole Operating System while you can see kernel as the Heart of the OS which communicates between hardware and OS.
*
Ar... That clear things up lol.

Thanks thumbup.gif

try use card reader 1st to save your custom rom into memory card
after that g to recovery mode, and flash again
*
Problem is when I try to copy paste the file into my SDHC 32gb Sandisk sdcard.

It keep says access denied or something.

I read through some other forum saying is that the card reader is outdated or something.... sad.gif

Er..running on stock rom haha

Meaning you want to un-root and go back to stock rom.

Or you want to flash for the very first time from stock to CM10?

Alright. On to your previous question bout whether its recommended to flash to CM10 for the first time flashing.

Depends.. CM10 is well-known and quite stable so you can say you can try it out as your first.

My first was ParanoidAndroid. Decent rom with cute customization lol.

Backup is a must everytime you flash.

Unless you dont want your stuff.

Just now went through it. Wiped without backing up. Everything gone. GONE cry.gif cry.gif

Haha. Exactly what I did. At first I was like. Worst case scenario was ask my friend for his sdcard tmrw to transfer the rom then I install on my phone.

Who know .. there was a effing lock there lol.
