Official Malaysia JB seems drain battery "faster"         

been trying Malaysia JB since last night, everything seems ok , except for following minor issue.

1. Some of my whatsapp contacts do not show profile photos, im sure they have a profile photos before when im on ICS. After the upgrade, Some of my contacts showed No Profile Photos.

2. In Phone Contacts, if that person has a Whatsapp, it will show the small little whatsapp icon on the right side of their name right. After upgrade to JB, cant see all those icon.. FOr these problem 1 and 2, I tried sync whatsapp again, but no result also.

3. I played FIfa2012 on ICS...super smooth. After JBed, it lags~ very obvious lag.

My update process is:

1)Backup TiBa and Nandroid
2)Wipe data
3)Upgrade using Odin PC
4)Install TiBa and restore missing apps and data
5)Restore system data
6)Restart phone.

Anyone encounter this, or know any solution?? Thanks bros...

I think probably is the contacts problem. I have synced it with google account.

May I know how to clear or wipe everything in contacts, and restore back a fresh one from google?

Guys... im using full stock rom. In ICS i can get 12K++ antutu benchmark... in JB only 11K++ ??!!?? why?? i thought JB better performance? anything i need to set...disabled power saving in both ICS and JB.

no, i think blocking mode = notification mode.. with more selection.

Example, Gmail comes in. It will show more info/part of the email in notification area @ status bar. Pinch in on the notification...(like in pinch to zoom) to minimize..so it will display less (like ICS). Pinch out...then u can see more info.

Finally on jellybean. The antivirus was the culprit. Disabled the antivirus and everything was smooth sailing. I must say jb is smooth...

how long it will take to upgrade firmware via Kies. im using srteamyx 1mb.
just want to know cause already an hour downloading via kies but the bar still rolling "preparing firmware upgrade components". How long i have to wait.

SME= warranty by Samsung Malaysia. if problem bring unit to any Samsung Service center with in malaysia for repair
AP=Warranty ONLY by dealer you buy from.

softeware

SME = can update by over the air services (OTA) and also by KIES (samsung)
AP = Update have to go back to dealer to be safe.  ..if update wrong got warranty problem

hi guys.. any1 else have wifi timeout problem after updated to jb ? i always hav a wifi timeout where you can't connect to internet after some time even though its connected.. i put the wifi always on during sleep though..

I think there is no official update for S3 yet. I have checked. These people may have installed Jelly Bean from third party sources to a rooted phone. Correct me if I am wrong.

hi bro, have u updated? after read some previous post, heard some say it is still unstable, especially with the camera. is it true??

Yesssss! Same here. The stutters and keyboard lag. How long do you guys wait for it to be smooth? Or how many restarts you all done? Or did you guys even experienced any lag at all? Funny that some dont, but most experience the lagginess. 

believe me ... if you got stock firmware (let say India) then you need to go back to the country of origin to have your FOTA update or you need to download the update to update yourself. ..... if we change our firmware to other country is also consider AP set. that why we need to change back our ROM to Malaysia before claim warranty

Have anyone encounter tethering problem? It seem that i cant tether anymore.. wifi tethering.. my laptop detect there is signal from my phone but it cant connect.. happen after update to JB..

Did u guys notice after upgrade if restart phone for the first time there is minor upgrade?

That one is the upgrading restart.. try restart and u'll see the android logo again performing upgrade.. after that i restart no more android logo.. i notice that at a very last minute on my fon and ask my newly upgraded fren to restart and same thing happen.. if havent restart after upgrade try restart..

I having issue to upgrade via kies...
Note: I just factory reset also same issue...

any advice?
