QUOTE(pzo @ Dec 8 2009, 08:46 PM) Im chemical eng graduated in last july but not having any chances to get into OnG, because mostly need connection, high/first class cgpa, and mechanical eng ppl. so sad, till now get no work. i regret taking chem eng. no job for low achiever like me.sob sob. any one know any kind of training courses specifically for oil n gas? i prefer to start from below/training if im going to this industry. have you thrown 300++ of cv? have you go to more than 20 of interview? if not you should to...that the hardship of fresh graduate to secure job today...my advise determination make you find works harder...not every company will be looking into your CGPA...as long the company know you have the right attitude.. yes some company prefer connection but others no....and if you have start the work in the future try ask all your colleague how many of them secure the job with 'connection' probably not even more than 10%..good luck.

QUOTE(pzo @ Dec 9 2009, 11:31 AM) Do u meant to say he got MOX 4 years ago? or he is 4 years experiences? I wonder why he turn down exxonmobil..Mox only specialize in gases, maybe because MOX is nearer to city. Hard enough u meant like .. if that , u guys were rite maybe im not trying hard enough. But most/all oil n gas job ads i saw only want those with 5years and above experience. Do you think i should send in my resume regardless of what exp they want? and 300cvs, is it hard or soft copy? which one do u think company prefer? For starting it is not high pay im looking. i even ok if they just pay me 1.5k. What important is to gather as much experience as possible while im still young. good you have the right attitude...yes just applied it if they just need 5 years experience...wort come to worst ur resume just end up in dust bin...otherwise it will be keep for future vacancies...last time i throw hard copy CV it it no all in OnG industry...good luck.

QUOTE(anita.hanim @ Jan 21 2010, 04:51 PM) Hello grunge..Wanna ask just a lil bit. Where is the work location? Is it sumwhere around KL? I have so much interest in joining O&G since I graduated but til now still no luck for me.However, i'm still trying though.I graduated in B.Eng(Mechatronics) with 2nd class upper.Have 1yr+ non-related work experience(in project mgmt+construction work). I just want to get myself into track back and wish that i could enter the right industry worth of my qualification..~Sigh~ usually when the interviewer asking where is your work preference the answer should be ANYWHERE just heard petronas are doing walk in interview by this saturday and sunday in klcc convention try googling around (walk in usually the chance is higher because a lot of vacancies) i just found it http://eyriqazz.blogspot.com/2010/01/petro...-interview.html
