well, it's true oil n gas give the most outstanding salary for their employees, that's why the industry become one of dream for job seekers. Usually for starting, high salary means risky and hard job, but as the safety in oil gas is one of the most reliable, as long u follow the instructions = low risk. Ppl that worked most on the field can get better pay as u got many highly pay allowances. But, for sure, u want to get something good, sometimes u hv to sacrifice something like good time with ur family. It's a give and take common situation. One of my friend's brother, now work as freelancer after 15-20years experience in drilling operation, can make 100k a month with just 2weeks working time. But b4 he got it, many obstacles he hv to pull through. My friend only seen his bro 1-2 times a year during beginning of his career. I'm also wish b4 to work in oil gas industry, but as i dun want to wait, i just grab 1st whatever job in font of me:p even though i'm not in oil gas industry rite now, i hope my experience in mechanical maintenance for heavy industry can be used in future if i want to apply in oil gas industry..peace(^__^)

well, there r some of my friends that eager to work in oil gas, almost 1 year, finally he get into one of it, Mcdermott, Singapore...well is up to you, yes if u hv the chance u will get into the field, but not all people got chance like that, at last, they just wasting their time, b4 knowing their friends that working in other filed have doing well with their life..the important is appreciate every chance u got, if u got plenty, lucky of u, u got option to select....if u can't get into big company, maybe u can start from bottom with sub-con or small company to gain experience...sometimes there a good candidates, but the "rezeki" is not for them, they still don't get the chance...but don't give up if u intend to join the oil field...do all the bes(^__^) Good luck...

Of anyone knows any oil gas vacancy, do PM me, prefer maintenance @ technical services @ instrumentation field as currently that is what i'm doing for heavy industry, just want to try out different field with extra benefit...
