hi there, my direct senior is working in Dugeo. We're of geophysics background as well. Actually the most important thing tip about the interview is to show ur full interest on the company, which was said by my another senior there when he came to our university for recruitment. they dont have any offshore of field operation and only utilizing software for processing. Good company where u'll have chances for training in other countries, eg:Australia. My seniors who work there like the working style which is relaxing, and not tension and even think of working in Australia there permanently. hence, when they interview u, try to ask as many question as u could to show that u're interested wt them.. haha.. good luck

Im not sure about other companies, but i know SLB wouldnt even look at anyone with CGPA below 3 during the recruitment drive at my uni . .

I got an interview invitation for Baker Atlas' JFE position. The interview will be with Mr Tom Hoyler. Any idea on how he will handle the interview? What will the interview look like? any hints/tips?

about 2 weeks after the online application, their HR manager called me to attend Technical Test (1st stage). next 3 working days, they invited me to 2nd interview.

we still got deepwater and ultradeepwater fields for us to drill...

wondering how much are they offering for this position? or what you state as expected salary?
well, i think we're gonna be net importer soon, not totally out of oil. anyway, you can work overseas as well.

UMW looking for a lower salary staff,last time they did offer me for RM2000 only,however I rejected UMW and accept Aker offer.

went to the interview and they say that ill be a mismatch to their company since most of them that work outside office will only do the ketuk2 besi part.
They asked me to try the big names like Baker and SLB. Idk why they would say that.

i get their offer, and only RM2.510k, i heard my fren said the salary raise to RM3.5k after october

iDK, I don't know much about the oil n gas career, but do correct me if I'm wrong, Schlumberger also have a 3-year programme for their engineers, don't they? Is it not the same risk working with them?

no lar. i live in jb. it's just i havent had any response from technip and baker hughes. i thought shell could be a safer bet.

i am jobless at the moment. for two months.. it's getting boring now. you guys know any other consulting companies for oil and gas? especially that are currently recruiting or not.
