Hi, everyone! I have been reading through LY forum all morning and finally decided to log into my 2 year old inactive account to mingle with you lot! Like a lot of you I am a fresh graduate looking to get into OnG with a Mechanical Engineering (MEng) degree.

Well, I'm not really here to ask any questions (yet). But I think as the weeks of unemployment goes by *touch wood*, I'll probably start asking for some help from you veterans. =)

I just came back from the UK last Monday after a tiring 9-month job hunt over 80 companies. Now I'm trying my luck here and have sent applications to Halliburton, Deleum, Petronas, Exxonmobil, and a few other non OnG firms.

Again, nice to meet you lot. =)

Depends on the size of the company and how many candidates are applying. It may take as long as a month. Which company did you apply to?

I want to ask, if I take a job as a CAE engineer, will I be able to join OnG in the future?

Guys, according to the careers page of MMC

http://www.mmcog.com/career

They said that fresh graduates who apply must be registered with the BEM. Is that true for most of the OnG companies or just for some?
