even if u graduated as an electrical engr, u can possibly be assigned as a reservoir/subsurface engr.. what XOM really look for from a graduate/ junior engineer is the technical/analytical ability, adaptability and willingness to learn.. u can be re-trained as whatever discipline u r interested in.. the prospect in malaysia is also looking good as the oil contract with petronas has just been extended for another 20+ years.. a lot of new projects in the pipeline, i heard
