What make u think so?
U were a petronas scholar?

universalrawk, to answer your question. basically no. Most of them but not all.
Those who cannot meet their requirement during the structured interview (upon graduation of their study) will be released and ask to pay back the scholarship (convertible loan) depending on their result.

Hi!
I'm 19 this year and entering UTM for Petroleum engineering!
Just want to do some survey as I'm worried and lack of mental security due to some rumours.

1) Is the job of petroleum engineer really dangerous?
2) Do the classes of honour make big difference?
3) What would be the monthly salary pay for fresh graduates?
4) Can I work in Malaysia with nice pay? (i love Malaysia =D)

Fyi, good salary pay would still be the best motivation for me. I don't really have a major interest on certain thing. However, my favorite subject is Maths, followed by Physics then Chemistry. Btw, I'm a phlegmatic.

Thank you, seniors!

1. Petroleum engineers at offshore have higher risk, thus higher pay compared to compatriots at onshore.
2. Try to achieve first class or 2nd upper.
3. Petronas 3.5, Shell 3.8, Exxon 3.9k, consultant will be below 3k. Well things may change when u graduate.
4. Nice pay? Do business better if u ask me.
