bought some cables from seller.....

so here's my comments about seller himself....

good tech knowledge about cables, is definitely friendly and doesn't mind getting out of his way to get the cables that he recommends.....

workmanship: good

product vs money: value for money

so what did i buy from seller:
5meter pair x 2 Canare GS6 interconnects
1.5meter pair Gothams XLR interconnects

so how did the Canare sound.....i would say its an good all rounder cable.....first hour sounded slightly harsh....
now about 50 hours of playing......i would say it stands up to alot of marketed cables out there.

the cable produces quite dark background, dynamics and transient is good, tonal balance is ok.

equipments tested on:

amps: Mcintosh MA7000, Goldmund Telos 390, Audio Research VS110 + SP17 pre, Audio Research DSi200

sources: Mcintosh MCD500, Audio Research Reference CD7, Dune HD Max, Wadia 170 Ipod Docker, Oppo Digital 105, Logitech Squeeze Box

speakers: SF Cremona M, SF Amathi Anniversary, B&W 805s, Wilson Audio Sasha W/P, custom made floorstander 4 way Scanspeaks Ring Radiator and Revelator mids

interconnect cables: various brands
speaker cables: various brands

verdict: while the Canare GS6 are not meant to compete with highend cables and sound system.....canare GS6 proofed that it remains competitive during blind tests. While it is not d 'BEST' among the cables we have tested with, everyone did vote that this cable was easily accepted to their ears and the performance blew some of the more expensive cables away.
It surely did not create the weakest link during our hard audition.

this is my second purchase of diy cables from Black.....

speaks alot that he and I share the same passion for hifi.....

to those who is doubtful.....don't be....connect to me in facebook to see my hifi reviews and type of equipment that i use.....

product: Gothams GAC-2 V1 balanced XLR terminated with Neutrik Gold XLR

first 10 hours it just sucked.......now......after running it with cable cookers and playing it for 100hours.......

Music all there is.....frequencies from high to low are balanced.....speed and transient good.....transparency....oh my.....this cable did whack some other huge brand flat
my musical stage was extended with this cable....

cable stays silent even with some many encounter with power cables and other cables......some of our other tested cables wasn't as good....

equipments tested on:

amps: Mcintosh MA7000, Audio Research VS110 + SP17 pre, Audio Research DSi200

sources: Mcintosh MCD500, Audio Research Reference CD8, Audio Research CD5,

speakers: SF Cremona M, SF Amathi Anniversary

interconnect cables: various brands
speaker cables: to maintain the equivalent sonics......the speaker cable remained the same....XLO Reference 2

power filters from Quantum Resonant and power cabling by Nordost Blue Haven

verdict: So is Gotham highend? in music and sound.....YES. How does it perform against top ends like Transparent Reference and MITs? Obviously it doesn't match up its a different ball game. Transparent brings even more tonal and musicality. But would you go wrong with these Gotham's? No....you won't....probably regret not getting it. Equipment matching......so far no issue with different combination of pairings
