no actual/average "accurate" FC yet
the only thing i/we can refer to is what the meter tells us
theres a "average" FC meter they thats constantly fluctuating
i achieve 16.2-18.2KM/L..thats all i can see/tell

awesome man! that's really 1 new town ride worth buying. so how does it feel like in the car as compared to your BLM? pro and cons besides of the FC?

I just test drive the car in Seremban 3S centre and find the CVT to be somehow jerky - not sure what's the issue. The test drive car only clocks 70km of driving only. I also find the power somewhat lacking - although that's expected for a car with good FC and at this size. I thought Mirage should be better, especially on the CVT.

It feels like those auto transmission where there's a distinct change of gear, and induces a very slight "pull-back" feeling. I don't seem to be able to duplicate it as I want though, but it happens like 2-3 times in my short drive (like 3-5 minutes), admittedly the driving pattern is quite abnormal and aggressive for test driving purposes.

i think u never driven CVT...thats why
CVT and 4AT is very different
the speed will have to match the RPM
so if u rev higher than suppose to...after awhile, the rpm will dropped back down

EPS is not an update/upgrade from hydraulic
in fact, for me..its a downgrade
what EPS did is EPS took away the fun factor of driving the car
theres a reason why proton until now dn't want to change to EPS
same as lotus, BMW, mercedes and those super car brand

Haiya.. why the SA wait till last minutes to tell me this issues. I can get the car today if i wanted but with no accessories. I ordered full accessories since it was open for booking. sad.gif

bro please update me as well.
Cant tell them hold the money and wait till the stock come and then baru take ur car pasang?
their flier went whole Malaysia stating the accessories, I don't think they will just cancel it all.

Does your acc. amount add into loan?? or pay separately by cash?
*

hmmm...my SA didnt mention anything about the issue with accessories...need to recheck with him since i my loan is still pending..
mine, they include the amount for accessories together into loan so easier...need to ask your SA whether can manage that or not..

i think the issue with accessories is true, so in my case maybe i'll have to wait long for my car to arrive since it suppose to be fully accessorized..

i think i know what is the problem with you getting that kind or experience driving a cvt car..
currently i drive a manual and sometimes drive my wife's auto myvi...and to me cvt combined the best of both..
i enjoy driving (well, test driving mostly) cvt car, preve, saga flx se and now mirage...and so mirage so far give me the best cvt driving pleasure..

no jerk, no pull-back and no rubber band effect also...on all cvt car that i drive...yes, including preve...
i think the technique is to drive the car casually, patiently and let the momentum of car to push the car forward...that always my style of driving, no rush, relax and i always drive in econ mode...that's why i think i can achieve that 21km/L or maybe better...only in emergency je i drive like F1 driver..

i think the rubber band effect occur becos u pedal hard to push the car forward...
the jerking and pull back occur maybe becos after u pedal then u release a bit, then pedal, release...i think u need to always maintain contact with the pedal, only release when u want to decelerate...

to me cvt is the best la...

Nope.. all accessories 100% cash. He told me that it is a nationwide issues. MMC will only resume the order by somewhere in January 2013.

Seems like I can only fit the new sportrim that I took out from my old Neo. It's an OZ Ultraleggera 15" mate with Federal 595 EVO 195/55/15.

I have had short spells on my brother's City that's equipped with CVT - very smooth, only slightly annoying at low-rev as it tries to regulate the gear ratio I guess.
Well I think I couldn't compare City to Mirage, but I suppose Mitubishi wouldn't be too far off from Honda.

The Saga, Preve, and City's CVT is clutch-based, but I think the Mirage's uses a torque converter like the Inspira. I could be wrong about the Mirage, though.

One of the advantage of EPS had compare to hydraulic system is the EPS is using electric motor to assist us doing the turn instead of hydraulic pump that draws power from engine to operate. So it will improve your fuel efficiency.

Also eliminate the usage of hydraulic hose and hydraulic pump to make the car easier maintaineance.

But only drawback i think is the some of the EPS cannot had the feedback as responsive as a hydraulic one. Which i think this can be properly tuned. hmm.gif

but by saving abit more fuel + easier maintaineance(BTW my power steering was never serviced before)
and took away the fun factor...i dn't think is worthed
if there was 2 identical car, same spec...only difference is hydraulic power steering and EPS
no doubt in my mind, i would take hydraulic
