after testing for 2 weeks, for trips (oversea without my car) i think i need extra battery because heavy usage from 8am can lasts to about 6pm. To avoid the hassle to go back hotel to charge for my nite out, i purchased the nice battery kit comes with stand and an extra battery (rm170)

Easy for me, just a simple look at both spec sheet, I ll go for Note 2 smile.gif the possible reason I ll consider 10.1 if they have a retina calibre screen, the current one looks like crap.

This forum is very helpful. Thanks for replying guys. I'm no advanced user so no rooting and all. Worry I break the device.

Just one more question for the night. Currently or home screen can have 4 icons per row. I think I read somewhere we can make that 5 icons per row. How?

Nope, you could try Nova Launcher or Apex Launcher.
Anyway, I think Nova is better. smile.gif
I'm using stock one now, revoked back from Nova and Apex.
Just downloaded a simple weather+clock widget. I prefer neat layout, don't like a lot of apps icon on the homepage. blush.gif

Ya tried all these customizations but always ended up deleting them coz I prefer things as close and as pristine to stock and default as possible..even wallpaper...

So, those who have 1st batch must realize that their units could be worse in quality compared to later or subsequent batch. What i writing here can be true or not is up to you. But those who have knowledge in an actual production plant would know this :hehe
For those who bought Nexus 7 will sure know this simple logic

Oh is it? Because in my recommended apps page, looks like a lot of Malaysia Apps. laugh.gif
So we are accessing to US play store?
Hmm. Mine is if it is on WiFi, my mobile data is automatically halted and switched to WiFi.

Unlike Apple itunes store which based on user billing address, Play Store is based on IP address. Thats why you need VPN to buy books n movies etc....pain in the a$$

Oh cool. Now I got the point, I thought the location only affects the currency as I only paid SGD 0.25 during the 25cents deal instead of USD 0.25. tongue.gif
I'm connected to Singapore VPN in office. smile.gif

OK, looks like I will need to connect to US address to see what are the interesting things can be grabbed. biggrin.gif

Bought the HD version of Prometheus from the US Play Store previously. Playing on Note 2 really sweet wink.gif

For those who wonder which color to get, my advice is to go and checkout both color in person...nobody know what color exactly you like and any advices or comments here might not be accurate for you and you might regret later if based solely on others view.

And for the safety of your love one, ppl on the roads and yourself please dont text and drive esp with note2...veli the dangerous one

omg omg

good good smile.gif may I find out something from you

1) how is the UI experience? is it simple and idiot-proof like the iphone?
2) how are the quality of basic games such as bejeweled? are there many free quality games?
3) i remember before this that apps can't be saved to the external sd card, is it possible now?
4) is it overtly bulky in a tight pants? lol..  thumbup.gif

1. Completely opposite of iOS in term of approach. iOS is all about simplification via eliminating options that paralyses a non-geek users whereas Android is all about empowering users with options and tweaks, awesome for geeks like us, not so much for say, most of our parents. Just look at the Camera app. In Note 2 especially, you get a treasure trove of options and goodies, all wired to hardware and software for us to tinker. On iOS, 3rd party apps has very limited access to the hardware API to control the hardware so you'll have 'fake' non-hardware-based manipulation on your photo like the Camera+. Only with iOS6, 3rd party developer can access to minor ISO tweak.

In term of performance, the laggy 12fps UI of the dark age of Gingerbread is gone with Jelly Bean's Project Butter, UI is super smooth, apply to everything within the OS, most Google apps, and some 3rd party apps. Facebook for example is still not as smooth as iOS because it's not a native app, but they are working on it and will release soon. So basically, you'll be seeing more and more smoother apps very soon.

2. Bejeweled is not available yet in Play Store but there are few clones. You can get Plants & Zombies and Peggle today with Bejeweled in the horizon. I advice you to browse the Play Store to get more ideas on the apps you need.

3. Nope in Jelly Bean, unless the rooting method. No conspiracy theory to force you buying bigger memory model but there are practical reason why Android is moving towards this: among others are for better security and data integrity (Google up or check xda). And the 16GB model is actually 10GB only and a bit tight for me even though i installed not alot of games, left 2GB only now!. Thinking of getting a 32 or 64GB soon.

4. I'm average normal size guy. No problem to fit nicely in my jeans, just ngam ngam with the samsung flipcover, a bit hard but still can with other 3rd party cases i tried.
