Big car with more space but higher fuel consumption:
Inspira/Forte

Smaller car, easy to maneuver and lower FC:
Fiesta sedan/ City full spec / Polo Sedan

Depending on your usage, smaller car is more suited for daily city drive with occasional long distance due to lower running cost (fuel, road tax & etc). Bigger car will be more comfortable for more passengers and stuff.

In case you missed my post among the troll posts. If for daily use then better get a smaller car. If for long term use then don't worry so much about resale value. You are only paying more for the brand if you choose Vios, better go with City if you insist on Japanese but Fiesta sedan would be the best value with 3 years free maintenance and 5 years warranty, not to mention all the features they gave.

If you are inclined towards a bigger car then I prefer Forte over Inspira due to more features and much better interior.

Cost down la wei. Less lubrication people won't notice one. Just make sure all the things that people touch, see, hear, smell and feel are good then you will get the perceived quality already. Other things can be cost down already. No need to put any effort on handling, safety and features. Can make more profit that way.

Fiesta also got sedan version just like Vios is sedan version of Yaris, that's why the Dugong look. If you say Fiesta is a compact car, then Vios and City also is a compact car since their size are almost the same. If you want something bigger then your choice will be between Inspira and Forte.
