sup guys, wanna ask how's the grading system for engineering?

if coursework a student gets 40/50 and finals get 10/50, total up 50/100 means the student pass if passing requirement is C(50>)

Somebody told me MMU need to get at least 50% of coursework and 50% of finals to pass.
Like even thought coursework get 50/50 then finals get 20/50 also will fail because need at least 25/50 to pass in final.
I was thinking sure shit bricks.
