found 2inch for rm8. it is normal price?
Prepare for a large enclosure very soon. RTC grows quickly, and it eats like no tomorrow.

Does anyone know what type of fish can breed in small tank, beside small fishes and goldfish? Flowerhorns sound easy but still, i dont like the idea of 'artificial breeding'.

Antzz, try to get a pair of any cheap cichlids?maybe green terror, salvini, severums, chocolate. At times i do feel like trying out midas/red devil and vieja species or other SA/CA cichlids but apparently vieja is now banned(precursor of kamfa FH) in our country.wish i can get a pond too.but house yard so small.damnn
All of us dreaming of a pond, at least. In fact, GATF dude Genie has been lurking in DIY ponding for quite some time before, but still no news of any progress IRL. Dunno if she's been chaeting on us too..

OMG! Self-made pond!  rclxms.gif

Do share all the technical details.

I would love to make one. There are currently 2 huge water tanks (from the house renovations) sitting in the garden. My dad was planning on keeping tilapia (to eat. Yucks...). I was planning on moving my lungfish into it.

U.. u have a lungfish?!! How come i dunno that? Grr.. mad.gif

Well, maybe i'd consider to forgive u, if u can give me any of the tanks, or both, if it pleases u more tongue.gif

Hahahahaha, I didn't know.

Tanks are precious. Cannot simply give away. But no time to set it up right now. The new 8ft tank has arrived and it's currently being filled with water. Gonna transfer the aba-aba back this Sunday evening. Cannot wait!

I got the lungfish from one of the forumers here. Khairulanuar. Lately, he's been seen selling off all his collection. He had quite a good collection too.

I saw this ad on Mudah:
http://www.mudah.my/Rare+Pre+Historic+Fres...sh-23716796.htm

Anyone know what type of fish that is? It looks like a loach.

And somehow, I feel like getting it.
Ya lah.. u think i was serious about the tank? Grrr..

Yeah i still remember that Khairulanuar guy. He used to hv great collection esp of bichirs.

Good luck about that fish. Looks really strange, and also even stranger that no one can tell what fish it really is..

Cant wait to see ur setup of the new tank. Will it gonna be sexy and seditious? brows.gif

I think it may be a variant of loach close to clown loach (Chromobotia macracanthus)

Can try searching for loach species here http://www.loaches.com/species-index/loach...ndex-front-page

And here got color-stripe variation pics http://www.loaches.com/articles/clown-loac...king-variations

Sungai Buloh? Okay, I'll make a trip there one day. I need at least 3 more pieces. The tank still looks so bare now.
The same with me. Suddenly feels like to switch for more drifftwoods but must avoid sharp points. Safety first biggrin.gif

Cool. But one thing for sure, we would very much like to see the inner side of the pond. Thats if not too much to ask, Mr. notworthy.gif

Recently i'm looking for a longer top filter box, which can reach up to 4 feet long (or even a bit longer). I searched around few LFS here, but they dont have a filter box that size. Pls dont ask me to DIY, cuz i'm not into that now icon_question.gif

Something like this, or just the usual blue top filter box

last week i bought 4ft x 2.5ft x 1.5ft  used tank .... now my gar and 2 rtc have good enaf space. but now have water cloudy problem .... anyone help me to give some idea ... can you show me any idea for diy water filter ? cause my new one look like not too strong for my tank ... and one other question, haw much money u guys spend to feed ur monster .... lagi besar ikan lagi banyak diut mengalir ....
Congrats for the purchase. The tank looks great, thou it might be difficult to search for the perfect size cover. About filter, i just changed from

- Sump filter (Power 75w - 4500L/Hour), but turn to Top Filter system because this time i want a super quiet environment.
- Top filter (Minimum power only 11w). Quiet and enough to control bio-load in my tank, but i want more circulation of water.
- Top filter (50w - 3500L/Hour). Quiet and powerful biggrin.gif (only i need a larger filter box to prolong media change, because now the wools become fast clogged due to heavy filtering job)

In my case, to control water quality is one thing, but to deal with noise is one other thing. Even small small thing matters, but the result worths all the difficulties, in the end.

I love it when my fishes getting stable and comfortable with new environment. Weeks ago i was a bit worried that Aragorn was being picky about food. Now i'm very happy that he seems to adapt very well with new place, filtering system and the whole setup. I can clearly see from his swimming posture and how he reacts to me everytime i come close. Tonite i feed him 11 crickets and he's still begging for more biggrin.gif

Now that i have few days off from office, thinking to operate another tank. The old 2' tank has been collecting dust in store room for years. This time i wana consider a peaceful enclosure, maybe with few angelfishes and tetras.

damn a good looking tank.should be easy to look for it.why not try dwarf cichlids? tongue.gif
Not a bad idea. Do they comm well with angelfishes?

The reason with angels is that i missed them, esp when feeding time with dried worms. Love the sound when they suck the worms from the water surface, and the way they finished it all till their guts bloated. Lol.

Yeah, worth a try. If got problem afterwards, can just put the bully into predator's tank nod.gif

About to finish setting up the mini enclosure, just filled with water this afternoon. All decos n stuff are from garage, nothing new so this project hardly costs any cent.
