Today got merrymaking event at my place, i was so afraid that my fishes will freak out, u know la, with kids and ppl all around, noise and flash lights.. sweat.gif

Both bichirs remained calm, ornate was a bit shy. Aragorn looked a bit freaked out at the beginning, staying down at the bottom for a while. But then he get used to everything and swim at the surface again.

I snapped few pics when he remained at the bottom

Now i'm so relieved that everything goes well. No water splash at all, those like happened with my previous silver aro and giant mahseers.

LOL u really know how to joke laugh.gif

My sister in law getting engaged thats all. Amidst all exhaustion & restlesness.. i found peace by resting my soul with them.

A rest corner (a pond would do good) for a house is a good idea. The more natural it feels, the better effect it gives, i believe.
*
Too poor to afford a house with yard.somemore gf hates bichir n geli at them.so sien.later will sell them off lahh
Rest corner is undeniably needed. Probably getting small stone fountain/waterfall thingy to get that nature feeling

Haha very fast only, 10 min to chop it up. Keep in freezer. Feed for weeks.

I use a small piece, then cut into small cube, enough for my bichir to telan. Then keep in freezer. Whenever I wanna feed, just take out put the tupperware in the water to thaw. and feed.

The growth spurt is amazing.
*
Haha.i feed with hikari koi sinking pellets-growth type, with recommendation from a fellow forum member.growth is ok2 la.tilapia fillet sold at normal wet market or buy from AEON or tesco like that?lol

Yup any wet market/jusco/tesco also got. cheap cheap. I am trying New Life spectrum big formula. Cheaper than hikari massivore. RM58 for one big bottle. 3mm size easy for them to telan, so when you feed them, they just vaccum it up haha no need to chew. Pretty good colours and growth too.

QUOTE(abesabraham @ Jun 29 2013, 07:44 PM)
I'm planning to put them when they hit adulthood 5-6 inch.

The fish is quite big in general, just not long. So should look large enough not to be eaten.

But my bichir all small type ma. should be alright smile.gif

Also, I read that the ctenopoma's personality depends on its tankmates.

Last time I put it with my bichirs in a seperate tank in the big tank and it was very shy.

But now I've placed it with my guppies and its so active. eating out in the open.
*
Wah put in feeder tank, free flow food all the time.heaven! Haha. Untunglah owner belanja 1-dish-buffet tongue.gif

Btw yesterday's WC was disastrous.lost my beautiful delhezi forever :'( i was removing the ornaments inside when the del terkejut.then i ran into a Y-shaped log resin, pinning a weeksii who's already inside then both got stuck.i panicked for a while cause that was 2 lives at risk! Managed to release the weeksii after few seconds but took me 5mins to release the del.thats the downside of the fish anatomical design...its small head made it think it could fit in it, then got betrayed by its faaaat belly.after forcing its head back in, managed to release it.it swam as if nothing happened.then at midnight, i looked at the tank and saw it.the dreaded image of a fish turned upside down :'( haizzzzz..pics tomorrow, cause i'm oncall now
