i've never used a MAC b4 in my entire life. Only had a chance to play around with it for a few minutes the most.

The line is blurring among PC and MAC in terms of its performance when being used for designing [graphics, animation, 2D, 3D works, and other similar works]; would I be right to say this?

Since o'er the recent years, the PC has really improved in terms of hardware; graphic cards, sound cards, RAM, processor, hard disks are now so powerful beyond our furthest imagination compared to what we have few years ago.

My concern would be, what do I have to lose if I use a PC in this case, and what do I get to gain if I'm using MAC instead? Or even their pros and cons when used for designing works for that matter.

the only reason I'd invest in a Mac, an iBook or PowerBook to be exact is cause I'm too lazy to use those existing websites for platform testing. I'd use Safari very often to test websites and having a mobile PC would be good for me since I don't have one. tongue.gif

other than that, I don't see any difference other than video and yes, typeface.

so, better performance in MAC in terms of video and typeface as compared to PC.
