I`m sure u guys hav seen some web pages wher they let u upload files from the local machine to the server. They usually put a button that when u click on it, it brings up a dialog box for u to select a file to upload. Like when u want to upload yor avatar here on LowYat.

My question is, how do u bring up that open file dialog in jscript?

u just need <input="file"/> no???
why need javascript???

but also ensure that the form element is a multipart/form-data
