I do not understand the usage or one of these socket tracks in the kitchen. Why not just install more sockets in the wall in the first place? USA guide is kitchen counter sockets serve 2 feet to either side, so there will be one set (1 set = 2 sockets) for every 4 ft of counter space.

Track sockets are all on the same circuit anyway, so why not just install more sockets on the wall when renovating? At least if I install more sockets on the wall I can split the circuits so as not to worry about using an air fryer and a microwave at the same time.

Do people add and remove sockets constantly on the socket tracks? Expensive, and flimsy, and don't last, need specific replacement parts, must hack the wall to install, safety is compromised, and I don't think they look all that great .... I honestly don't get the attraction of power socket tracks. Can someone please enlighten me?

I share the same thought like yours when im doing reno ideas.

Prefer sockets than power track.
Need to planned nicely.

First time install and using Nezens surface power track (https://www.nezens.com.my/showproducts/productid/4537808/surface-power-track-matte-black-iron-grey-500mm/), 13a adapter, and found the phone charger adapter is extremely hot compare to plug in to normal wall socket, is this norm for power track?
Take note it was only using 1 adapter at that time..
