QUOTE(zongeva @ Oct 16 2012, 03:16 AM) CM Storm Trigger should be a better alternative. Razer keyboards are not recommended. Hello bro thanks for the quick reply, oh.. cuz im using BWU as i mentioned above, and everytime i feel very fragile while using it.. its like the feeling of its going to break down... so yea.. hmm, but what switches do u recommend me to get bro? as i posted what are my daily activities with my keyboard. Thank you And for your information, Ducky had started making mechanical keyboards long before other "gaming" brands start to jump into the bandwagon, so their keyboards are very fine, and the latest Ducky Shine 2 has even more backlit modes to play with, compared to its predecessor Ducky Shine. Razer Blackwidow is made by iOne, which has some QC issue before this. I am not sure whether they had improved or not, but I would personally find another keyboard made by OEM that has good feedback. For peace of mind. If you are not into backlit, I recommend you to get a Filco. Added on October 16, 2012, 3:44 am QUOTE(Human10 @ Oct 16 2012, 03:32 AM) Consider the high price to get BWU Stealth and so on, I will suggest you to go for other board. hey!!thanks for reply, but i found a seller selling for BWU stealth rm 380.. brand new sealed..There are other better board out there, such as Ducky Shine 2 or Filco(no backlit). CM Storm Trigger may also be the better choice compared to BWU Stealth. Lastly, do you consider getting a mini/compact keyboard? If yes then pay a visit to here: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=2343083&hl= hmm but a mechanical w/o backlit seems boring.. altho i game with lights on, i still love the backlit This post has been edited by MathsGeniusOrNot: Oct 16 2012, 03:44 AM |

QUOTE(Human10 @ Oct 16 2012, 03:45 AM) The "fragile" interpretation may come from either the clickiness of the Cherry Blue or the glossy + not solid built of Razer BWU. hmm in my opinion i dont think the fragile interpretation comes from the clickiness of the mx blue keys.. i think its basically the keyboard itself.. more solid.. sounds great to me.. but i only like keyboards with backlit If so, you probably need a board with a more solid built. If take apart backlit, good choices include Filco, Ducky, Leopold and so forth. If you are happy(but you seems to be paranoid to MX Blue) with the MX blue you using now, then you can still getting a board with MX blue or change to MX brown. If you feel like to try out something new, go for linear switch such as RED or Black(if you had a stronger finger). |

QUOTE(Human10 @ Oct 16 2012, 03:59 AM) Apart from Ducky & CM Trigger, most other BL board are also made by iOne, which mean is like clone brothers of Razer BWU. hmm but my budget only around 300-350 =.=.. but i want the backlit at the same time lol.. any recommendations bro?May be you can try to source for the more rare Mionix Zibal but I doubt you can land your hand on it locally. Red is sort of like a lighter Black(imagine a black switch with Blue spring). Brown on the other hand is like Red, but with a bump at the middle of pressing. For gaming, I will say linear(red/black) switch suit "me" better. Cause doesn't feel the need for the tactility. Linear switch should also be fine for daily works like surf net and typing, but some ppl tend to make typo on red, so beware. Added on October 16, 2012, 4:16 am QUOTE(zongeva @ Oct 16 2012, 04:08 AM) I have a Filco Majestouch 2 Camo with MX Blue, and now typing this on CM Storm QuickFire Rapid with MX Red. hello bro thanks for info, wow 2keyboards huh? good room mate These two keyboard are very solid and I love them very much. Basically I use the Filco during the daytime, while the Rapid when my housemates are asleep. Both of these switches gives me different kind enjoyable sensation when typing. They are also fine for gaming. MX Red is basically the light version of MX Black. I prefer Red than Brown because of the smooth linear characteristic. Brown feels almost similar to Red, but has a very weak tactile bump which I didn't like, because it makes the switch feels like rougher/scratchier Red. There is no "better" switch for gaming/typing/surfing or whatever activity you do with the keyboard, but only the switch that you like/prefer. I suggest you try all the different kind of switches in some shop that offer demo unit before you make any purchase. Actually if you can live without the backlit, your choices would be widen a lot more. Also, from what I read, LED should be the least durable component in a mechanical keyboard. aside from that, i've recently seen some review about the alienware tactx keyboard.. thats not a mechanical keyboard but the backlits are cool! is it worth to get that keyboard? cuz as they say ' once u go mechanical, u wont ever want to use a normal keyboard ever again' LOL This post has been edited by MathsGeniusOrNot: Oct 16 2012, 04:16 AM |

QUOTE(kaysa @ Oct 16 2012, 09:15 AM) http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f...0#entry51313986 hello bro thanks! very nice indeed! the green LED looks more 'real' compare to razer's BWU 2013 :/.. I recommend the Race from Kai, it's a backlited board within your budget. but isnt that a lil too small?? no keypad O.o looks unusual... |

QUOTE(kaysa @ Oct 16 2012, 09:47 AM) Most of the mechanical keyboards has a version that doesn't have a number pad layout, very true bro! never thought of that either!! and the numpad is somehow quite useless.. no offence.. that can let your mouse place at a more suitable position for your body when using the mouse. a full 104 layout is too long for placing a mouse beside it, when the alphabet area are in the middle of the screen, your body will have a bad posture and make your shoulder and arm stress more, and that will hurt your health in time. thanks bro for the tip! now i feel like getting that keyboard already haha! Added on October 16, 2012, 10:30 am QUOTE(bv2427 @ Oct 16 2012, 10:17 AM) thanks bro.feel so blessed that so many ppl is replying to my questions http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f...0#entry51313986, will i able to use macro keys?? like the razer BWU where u can customise, example : the 'E' key macro it to 'Z' so when u press 'E'= 'Z'.. thanks guys This post has been edited by MathsGeniusOrNot: Oct 16 2012, 10:33 AM |

1) is the kai's KBT race 75% keyboard small? the good thing about it is that there is no numpad, so i can place my mouse comfortably.. but will it be too small? my monitor is around 20inch.. only 1 monitor la 2) should i get the Ducky 9008 Shine 2 instead of the Kai's KBT? the 9008 ducky shine 2 is freakin cool.. but just that there is numpad 3) where can i find Ducky keyboard shop in Taipei? will it be cheaper there? or almost the same price? thanks This post has been edited by MathsGeniusOrNot: Oct 19 2012, 01:39 AM |

QUOTE(Human10 @ Oct 19 2012, 01:44 AM) thks anyways.. Hmm guys if i have the chance to get the Mionix Zibal 60,Ducky shine 2,Kai's KBtalking Race keyboard which 1 should i pick? I love the ducky shine 2 because it has a variety of switches and colors to choose, but the Mionix zibal 60 on the other hand only has cherry black mx.. but the LED backlit is nice.. and the KBtalking race keyboard backlit looks very neat.. and what attracts me the most about the KBtalking keyboard is that there is no numpad, so i can place my mouse right beside the space where there is no numpad.. some of the user here recommend me that this is a better way for ur health, as in sitting posture.. but im afraid it'd be really awkward and uncomfortable.. so decisions guys? i need to get reply ASAP as im asking my fren to help me order from oversea.. thanks This post has been edited by MathsGeniusOrNot: Oct 19 2012, 03:13 AM |
