da extra ram helps if u wanna play at higher resolution... why dont u guys try bios mod?? i've tried it with gecube 9550 extreme edition... got it to run speed at 9600 pro... changing coolers dont really help in ocing... especially this card... rather than buying this card, scout for others... i sold mine 1 month after bought it then change to x800pro...

cool viva from cooler master is a good solution since its cheap... i think older version of artic silencer works, just that dont know in shop they still selling or not.. but then again would u spend another 100 for cooling?? thats like 1/4 of the card's price...

well u can always try first... providing that u have etra thermal tape... there must be a reason why the use the thermal tape rather then using thermal paste...

clean all the surface... then test the placing of the heatsink... most importantly check whether the gpu chip touches the heat sink... if yes, next check the rams... if there is gaps even after u try to tighten it, then u have to use da thermal tape... if no gap then u can use thermal paste...

hope that was helpful
