QUOTE(zahri @ May 12 2006, 01:06 AM) Currently i am using the OMEGA Driver ver 2.0 i also use ati tool, but i cant get it over 4000 in 3dmark03 even though i increase the core from 450 to 500, 350 mem to 370....working great i used to use Ati Tool, i dunt know exactly how to use it, but i used to use the auto mem / core once u see artifacts u stop i hope that helps, but better wait for better answers from People who are really familiar with ATI TOOL Peace the default score i can get is around 3800... |

really?? wont it be loose or not touching the chips??
coz the whole cooler is quite big, and it cover up the core and the mem chipset.... if i remove the thermal tape and apply thermal paste, will it be able to fix in nicely so that every part that has to be cooled is touching the heatsink? |

leave the thermal tape of the ram chips??
i thought if remove the heatsink, the whole cooler is removed? if i remove the cooler already, and i remove the thermal tape of the gpu only, then wont it leave a big gap when i applied thermal paste and fix it back?? |

QUOTE(uzairi @ May 15 2006, 01:01 AM) Dude, you're contradicting what u said earlier dude. hm....To cut the costs of the card's retail price. Anyway, u can change the gpu core thermal material to AS5 to ensure better heat transfer but leave the gpu mem stock. This way u can crank the gpu speed only rather the gpu mem. If u got the cash, might as well u get evercool cooler from dinster which costs RM40 that gives a full copper cooler with 8 ramsinks for your card which would be a better choice and i think u wouldnt regret spending some cash for it. will try getting some thermal tape 1st and change the gpu core thermal tape to AS5 i m not going to spend on other cooler yet... thanx |
